I've used a lot of painter's tape over the years, and 3M remains my go-to. I haves tried cheaper off brand and simply not worth it. It sticks well to various surfaces without damaging them and removes effortlessly, even after a couple of weeks. Simply it’s a reliable tape that works every time as it is supposed to. It might cost a little more than generic brands, but for me, the time saved makes it worth every penny.

Great tape almost to good

it's good painters tape, but I bought it for use on 3d printers build plate, and it's not even close to being like whatever brand I had before, still great painting tape. it never claimed to be 3d printer bed adhesive.

Great deal for genuine product

So I bought the 6 Roll pack to cover the front of my car on a long road trip. I have seen it done on car forums for really fancy paint jobs to get them to the car shows, so figured my brand new car with less than 2000 miles on it could use a little extra protection for the trip.I had way more than enough painters tape to cover the bumper and some of the hood...I will be using the rest for painting projects.I used it as a car bra on the way down to my destination and the temperature ranged for 60-100 degrees depending on the time of day. I only left on for about 24hrs, but was very easy to take off and left no messy residue. I believe at most it really only helped with keeping the car clean of bugs easier, but I also found no rock chips or scratches.On the way home I did not recover the front of the car, I still sustained no road rash from rocks, but the front of the car was caked with bugs and a lot harder to clean than just pealing off tape.As far as painters tape, it is excellent. I have used for art projects with acrylics and spray paint and always makes nice lines and never have paint runs. Also leaves no residue behind.I have see it at the home stores for about the same price, but with Prime I saved on tax :P
