I love this soap, it's perfect for babies or just sensitive skin in general. This was a staple in our home when my daughter was a baby. Works perfect for sensitive skin, smells wonderful, and it's very calming. Definitely always recommend

I bought this about 5 months ago & there is still some left. It's non drying for my 2 boys & cleanses them just right. I tend to change products but I think I will be sticking to this for years to come.

This is an expensive product, but well worth it, I feel ... I've been using this on my now-4.5-year-old since he was a baby. Of the various shampoos and body washes marketed for children as "tear-free" (including other natural and organic brands -- which we generally aim for in all facets of our home life), this one truly matches the claim with the reality. I've tested some other children's "tear-free" brands on myself, letting suds get in my eyes, and was disconcerted to find that they still caused stinging in the eyes. Not all other brands, but definitely some. California Baby brand actually IS tear-free -- no stinging. My son is very sensitive to water and soap getting in his eyes, and this has caused some fear and panic around hair washing (he also doesn't like getting water in his ears, so dunking in tub water is not a possibility). While we ended up finding a technique to use when washing his hair that helps prevent water and drips (and that works for him too, helping to alleviate his fear -- we use a damp washcloth squeezed of most water, folded lengthwise in thirds that we place across his forehead to catch water) -- this shampoo and body wash from California Baby gives me extra peace-of-mind. I also love that you can use it for the whole body AND as a gentle bubble bath that doesn't cause skin irritation or potential stinging in the eyes from water splashing in my son's face during bath play. I use it on myself!! The smell is lovely too -- a calendula base with a gentle lavender scent. To me, the cost is definitely worth supporting a product that is better for both the earth and for my son.

Love this shampoo and body wash. It's not completely tear-free, but it is pretty darn close. My 7-year-old uses this and really likes it. The bottle is a little difficult to open the first time but then it's very easy to use and doesn't leak. It lathers well and the moisture level seems to be okay. I can't speak to the shine, I mean it seems about average. Overall it works well and I would recommend.
