Desert Essence: Organics Hair Care Shampoo, Lemon 8 oz (2 pack)

Fragrances make me itch. This is a nice mild shampoo, lathers well and rinses well. If you have oily hair you may need something stronger or shampoo twice. I have ordered this for years and sometimes I may try another but am always disappointed and come back to this product.

I've fallen in love with Desert Essence Lemon Tea Tree shampoo! My hair is literally squeaky clean AND itchy dandruff (a type of fungus) has vanished, too! I personally use this shampoo as a shower gel, a small dime sized blob lathers up really well in a shower puff!My unusual tip of the day - if your fighting any type of fungus from dandruff to jock itch to athlete's foot, or suffer with discolored finger nails or toe nails or skin rashes due to fungal growth then mix a small amount of this shampoo with water in a plastic bowl, add 20 mule team borax (laundry product), lather up really well and use the shower puff to wash really well, soaking those areas at least 5 minutes then rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry naturally (and launder all towels with 20 mule team borax to stop reinfection!) Repeat daily until under control. The tea tree oil shampoo and borax combination are really effective against fungal concerns!

I love this shampoo. I can't handle fragrance at all and this works for me. Thank you. I have been using it for several years and love,,, love it. I might try washing my face with it and see how that works. It doesn't have all those awful chemicals that are in most soaps.

I had extremely oily hair as a teenager and it has returned in my late adult years. While my scalp is oily, the ends of my hair tend to dry out and frizz, so I've had limited success in finding a shampoo that controls the oil without over-drying the rest of my hair. This one does a great job - I can even go back to washing every other day and my hair will hold up fairly well. My only issue is that the container is difficult to squeeze and as my arthritis flares more and more these days, it won't be long before I won't be able to use these containers. I am hoping I'll be able to figure out how to fairly easily get the shampoo into a different container, because I do want to continue using the product.

I like this product and I’ve been buying this many years ago.my hair is always silky.My scalp’s not itchy. The only thing I don’t like is the price is getting high.

I love everything about this shampoo. I will keep buying it. My scalp is awesome and shiny! My hair smells good! I have so many bottles of shampoo from desperately trying to help my scalp and wasted so much money. Give this a try! I highly recommend it. I got these because Teatree oil is very good for cleansing but this leaves a coating on my hair that I don't like. So I'm actually using it as bath gel instead of shampoo. It made my hair feel rougher and more difficult to comb.

Second time purchasing this product and I would characterize the shampoo as 'Alt' shampoo. It doesn't have a traditional perfumed scent, but once you get used to it, it really grows on you. I compare it to when our family switched to mineral based deodorant sprays/sticks; different at first, but no one will ever go back to the traditional products.Dessert Essence has done a good job with this one and even though it's three times the price of regular commercial shampoo we think its worth it for the benefits of their formulation, the great scent and its positive effect on mood.Would recommend.

An excellent product that cleans thoroughly without harshness - my hair type is undyed, normal, fine but thick. Light pleasant ‘clean green’ type scent. Recommended and I will certainly be buying again.
