After reading Lessons in Corruption, I knew I had to dive straight into book 2. I was cautious about reading this book because of the huge age gap between Zeus and Lou but the amazing this I've heard about the book got the better if me so I dove in head first.I don't regret it, whatsoever. In fact, I'm glad I did. The book tells an amazing story which I can't share much about without giving it away. And I can honestly say that there isn't a single boring page in this book. If you've had the same feelings as me about reading this, just read it. I promise you will not regret it. I don't.

This story of a little warrior and her Guardian Monster who took a bullet for her at only 7years old – they’re EVERYTHING!I LOVED Lou. She’s a total bad ass with a fire in her soul. Lou had a rough life, but she fought hard against it all.  Zeus is the president of The Fallen MC and his only weakness is the little girl he saved all those years ago.Zeus and Lou together though?! Unstoppable. They just made sense together and the build up throughout their entire relationship was perfect. He was there for her when no one else was. Almost as if he was shifting to be who she needed; always changing and evolving.There was never a doubt in my mind that these two belonged to one another. My love for Zeus only doubled when his home also became her home. Oh. My. God. Zeus. In Greek mythology, Zeus is considered the ruler, protector, and father of all gods and humans and is often depicted as an older man with a beard and represented the lightning bolt and the eagle. That's you, Zeus Garro. I'm eternally in love with you.Obviously, I loved the book. I forced myself to read it slowly cause it was such a pleasure reading this story that I did NOT want it to end. And I'm not even into MC stuff. Age gap isn't either my favorite trope. But the book, Oh my God, the book did it for me. Such a HUGE hangover now I can't even find myself to start reading another book yet, my thoughts are flooded with lines and scenes of the book that don't allow my mind to start focusing on another romance.I'm not gonna go over the plot since you can read it from the many reviews here and the blurb itself, I just wanna share the feelings this book stirred.  The book starts with a series of letters between Zeus (26) and Lou(7), and let me tell you, right off the bat, their connection to each other- and my connection as a reader with them- was immediate. The intensity of their feelings for each other was spectacular, beautiful, smashing. It blew my mind. If you are considering reading this book, don't pre-judge it with the idea their huge age gap is gonna be ick, the author manages to take you carefully through that evolution from pen pals at the beginning to finally being a couple despite all obstacles, and believe me, there are quite a few. It's a story about finding your own family and being true to yourself and accepting who you are. It also deals with illness and death.These two truly are soul mates from the start. So, even if you don't usually like biker, violent or taboo romance, this book may still be for you!!! You'll find an overly protective, uber-sexy, charismatic alpha hero that is also sensitive, sweet, confident, loyal, and ultra caring. You'll meet a strong, determined heroine who knows exactly what she wants and knew damn well life was too short to wait around for it to come to her so she grabbed life by the horns and brought the future she wanted to herself. I loved her, her strength, and her undying love for Z. I loved them. They both loved deep and hard. and would do anything to protect and love each other, IT CAN'T GET ANY SWOONIER!!This book gave me all the feels, it definitely turned me on, and made me cry, and put the biggest smile on my face. Loved the epilogues, loved the last letter, genius!  This was my first book by Giana Darling and boy, did she deliver, 5 stars from me. This read made me so happy.

So this was a freaking ride alright. I was really curious with this series and I knew this book was a fan favorite but now I can finally get why.Lou was such a human, strong and amazing character. I really loved Zeus in the previous book but here he simple made me love him so hard. These two were so pure, heartbreaking and perfect, and of course, pure fire. I really loved to see their relationship development and it become really easy to understand how they really complement and made each other better.I don’t usually get that emotional with books that I end up crying but with this one I cried my eyes out. The story was so well done and it was without a doubt another amazing book in this amazing series.

It’s not literary excellence but I doubt that’s what anyone expects when they look up the description of this story. It’s a nice enough book if you’re looking for something quick and kinda trashy but also satisfying.
