GOOD DESIGN AND APPARENT MANUFACTURE. Despite the device appearing to be well painted (powder coated) rust spots around the welds appeared within a day of installation after light rain. Would recommend a thorough re-painting with something like Hammerite to really weatherproof it for the long term. While sturdy, it appears to be quite soft steel and care should be taken to not over-tighten the fixing bolts as it will bend. I dispensed with the fixing bars and bolted it directly onto the A-frame (it could have gone onto the trailer wall). But a good design and fit for purpose. Just 4-stars for the paint issue.

The clamp fitted well on the trailer but when I went to attach the tyre the two bolts supplied were 1/8th too large for the tyre. I have had to buy some M10 bolts and nuts seperately which is a bit frustrating. I had no idea that trailer tyre lugs were different sizes. Otherwise works well.

Was high enough to clear ground adequately on a boat trailer application. Mine is less than an inch from the hull, but that is where it still clears the winch handle and the trailer jack. You may have to try it in a couple locations for best fit on your trailer. If all other factors are equal, I recommend Starboard side mounting (road shoulder side), to minimize your exposure to traffic if you are broke down at the side of the road changing a tire.

Delivered within days 👍🏻. I was planing to repaint it prior to install to avoid rust, but it seems well powder coated so I left it as is, then after 1 week, saw rust appear. So plan to repaint it prior to install. 👎🏻Installation is a breeze. Plenty of different holes in bracket to adjust height to your trailer 👍🏻. Hardware is only zinc plated so be careful not to damage it to avoid rust. 🤞🏻. I used the provided tire nuts to hold the studs in the carrier because putting a spare on a loose nut is a pain in the - - - 👎🏻. If it came with a regular nut to hold the stud behind the tire and then use the 2 provided tire nuts to secure the wheel, would Ben preferred . But I had spare nuts in the garage so no big deal. The extra nut between the tire and bracket also adds a spacer which will avoid metal to metal rubbing and future rust. So half price than any other bracket available... seems like a no brainer.

Don't get me wrong, for $25 this is a pretty good deal but you may need to modify like I did. First, I had to drill out the mounting holes as the original bolts were metric and too long. So I used a similar standard bolt and nut that was the correct length. I also needed to change the wheel nuts to mount the wheel to the same size as the nuts on my trailer. I didn't want to have 2 different sized wheel nuts when needing to change a tire on the side of the road. After a little modification, this mount works pretty good.
