Pureology Hydrate Sheer Nourishing Shampoo | For Fine, Dry Color Treated Hair | Sulfate-Free | Silicone-Free | Vegan

I have long, thick, straight hair that can handle silicones pretty well, but I wanted a hydrating shampoo without them for part of my biweekly deep conditioning routine. I've been pleased with this brand's clarifying shampoo in the past, so I figured this would be a solid choice. The consistency is fabulous (nice and thick!) and it builds a lather even better than most sulfate shampoos. It provides pretty good slip, especially considering the lack of silicones, and leaves my hair feeling soft and tangle-free even before adding conditioner. The fragrance is strong and herbal; straight from the bottle it's too much for me, but after rinsing and drying it's more subtle, although it does linger. It's not awful, but it's probably my least favorite part of the product. I followed up with Hydrate Superfood treatment (which also has a somewhat herbal scent, but more banana-y) and my hair feels great. I'm seriously considering testing the regular Hydrate line for day to day use in place of my usual products. ETA: I've since purchased the Hydrate Sheer Conditioner and both the shampoo and conditioner in the regular Hydrate line. They're all fantastic products.

Worth the money, good for dry hair from treatments/styling

Lovely shampoo with a gorgeous lather. Expensive but worth it. Leaves my hair soft and manageable with a smooth finish. Shampoo smells like Parma violets and conditioner smells minty. Third time I've bought this.
