Background:Purchased this product in 2020 during Covid, when we were camping and staying in an apartment. Wanted a fan that was easy to carry, didn't take too much power and had decent speed and moved good volume of air. After doing some research, this one fit the bill.Pros:1. Good quality and good material used. Decent heft and not too cheap plastic.2. Though not too small, it is tiny enough to be put in a suitcase or a small tote.3. Good power and really moves the air around. We can be up to 10 feet away and still feel the cool air.4. The handle is well placed, making it easy to carry and place.5. It does not get too hot after running for a long time.Cons:1. Vornado products while priced competitively are almost at higher end of spectrum. But value wise I think they aren't bad.2. Assembly and disassembly can take some efforts (see below).3. Can be a little noisy at highest speed.Customer Support:The fan started residing on the master bedroom counter after the plan-demic. One day, my beautiful half accidentally bumped it and the fan had a 3 feet hard fall onto the stone tile. There were no dings or dents or cracks, but one of the fan blade completely broke causing the fan to be imbalanced. Called customer support, which is US based and explained the condition. The customer service agent checked the warranty information and sent us the replacement part without any charge, despite of being our fault. It took some time to put it back, once the part arrived, as the disassembly and assembly are a little cumbersome. Now it is running as good as new.Bottomline:The product and the customer service of this company deserves 4.7 out of 5.0. I will be buying several of Vornado products in the future, when need comes. So what if they are little expensive, but if they have good US based customer support, then so be it.

I live in Florida and we use fans here all year round. I bought the small Vornado 460 to use in my kitchen when I am working and watching TV because a ceiling fan was not optional. On low, the fan is quiet and moves air in my 16ft x16ft high volume ceiling kitchen efficiently, i.e. I can feel the air moving from about 8ft away. If the "white noise" of a quiet fan helps you relax, you will like this fan. I've had this fan for ~6 months and no issues, would recommend.

I can’t even explain how it’s making the entire room cool, but it is. It’s not blowing on me and I’m not next to the fan, but it’s nice and cool in the room. Like any fan, it’s not exactly quiet. I do wish it were, but it’s a lot less noisy than the AC unit. I have it on the lowest setting and it’s still powerful. Worth it.

this is a great little fan for the size. it really does move a lot of air. The reason I took off one star is because the low setting is still somewhat loud, I was looking for a fan that was slightly less noisy so I ordered a different one from this brand and will put this one in the guest room. I am a loyal customer of Vornado.. so I was a little surprised that the low setting was noisier than my last fan that finally broke The other day.

This is literally the best fan that I’ve ever owned and I am nearly 60 years old (went through a lot of fans in my time)!!! I always have had a fan running 24/7 in my bathroom to prevent mold, mildew from forming and to dry the room, towels, shower curtain, tub and washcloths thoroughly! This fan does what it is supposed to do; circulating the air ALL around the room. IT SMALL, BUT MIGHTY! I definitely will purchase more of these in the future for other rooms. Worth every cent!

Not only does this thing crank out some air but you can tell just by picking it up that it's built well. And that goes a long way with me. Now it is a little early to be calling a winner on this fight, but I think this one's going to go the distance. It's got a quiet little hum not too loud just like some background noise type on any speed. It's not very loud at all. This compact size allows you to put it in various places and it's adjustable You can put it on the floor and aim it straight up in the air. I really like this fan I'm going to pick up another one I think I'm going to go ahead and get that $100 when it has Alexa on it I was going to get that one in the first place but I didn't know anything about this brand. I believe I'll go back and get another one though. Get you one now have have it for next summer!!!

Pricey but so worth it! Takes up little space but does the job of a huge fan! Makes great noise for sleeping and really powerful!!

I love this fan and would recommend it! Even though it's small it blows MUCH more air than our other two fans combined. It is pricey but well made and far more functional than a cheapo fan.For instance, with our cheap 20in fan on a stand from Walmart you can barely feel the breeze standing 5 ft away. With this Vornado fan, you can feel the air blowing all the way down the hall or across the room. It REALLY moves air.What I also like is how directional it is with the air movement, namely that you can point it up the stairs, or down the hall (or even straight up if you want to circulate a room), and it will create a wide air current whichever way you point it. It does not have a stand but is so compact that you can put it in a doorway (and step over it easily) or the bottom of the stairs, or on a windowsill, etc. It's very easy to move because of its size.The slider that allows you to adjust the angle is solid metal, and smoothly adjusts to any angle; there are no wobbly "clicks" in angle like typical stand fans have.Cons:- It's pricey. Worth it, I think! High quality. But not for everyone due to price.- I do wish it had a stand option, for when we want it to blow 3'-6' above the ground, but in such cases we've been able to just put the fan on a chair or table to get the desired height.- On its highest setting it's a tad noisy, though in a nice white-noise kind of way. On medium or low it's quiet, and on ANY setting it still blows plenty of air.
