I like these so well I have several of them, but I like this brand the best. The handle is comfortable, sturdy, and has enough weight to it to feel like it won't break. The serrated edge is the key feature. I've had it for over a year and it never needs sharpening and always cuts well. It's the perfect tool for small areas and hard to get to places.

Makes cutting back monkey grass and other plants for winter very easy. The serrated edge slices plants easy yet is not so sharp that I am at risk of cutting myself (wearing garden gloves). Only wish the handle was a bright color since it’s easy to lose in the yard

This is the first sickle I've used that is serrated which makes it basically useless for the softer grass that falls over easy. But plants that have a more firm stem cut clean and easy. I used it to cut down a large over grown garden yesterday and it worked great with the exception of the grass cause it just fell over. A non-serrated sickle will work very nicely on grass as long as it's sharp. This is not a great sickle but for the price is not bad

I bought the sickle to cut down brush and weeds on my property. I've probably used it 20 times since I purchased it and it is still razor sharp. It is a very lightweight and handy gardening tool I would highly recommend.

Cheap steel, rusts quickly and doesn't hold an edge.

I got a hand sickle because I was able to use one when working for a place that used them to cut grass and weeds that grew among native plant seed beds. It kept us from accidentally cutting down the plants we were growing for seed and when the seed harvest came, it helped us reap seeds without losing them. I now have my own garden that is interplanted with clover that needs cutting and wanted one for that job. This product is made with thinner metal than I expected and it did not keep its edge at all. I only used it for two projects and it dulled quickly and now is a challenge to use. It also has begun to rust and it has only been one season. I wish I knew what brand the one I had used before was. This one is just a bit disappointing.
