This is my 3rd set of these paddles. They are definitely not sturdy or durable. In cookie dough they broke and left fragments of plastic throughout the mixture—had to throw it all out. I love my mixer but wish the company made these in stainless steel.

These paddles have lasted longer than the cookie paddles that came with the mixer. With almost a month's use, the gear splines are still attached. I admit to babying the cake paddles; any batter with hard objects (chocolate chips, nuts, etc.) gets mixed with the dough hook. I suspect that the paddles themselves being more flexible that the cake paddles improves their survival chances. The plastic is the same cheap junk that the cookie paddles are made from. Make sure butter is at room temp before mixing with these!Unfortunately the paddles are not quite sized correctly for the mixer bowl. Using them requires frequent bowl scraping to incorporate ingredients. The strength of the Bosch mixer is the motor. All the 3rd party accessories such I have used are poorly made and designed in comparison to their Kitchen Aid counterparts.

These work great so far! Better than the old design. Hope they last longer than the old design. Bosch....please look into making metal cookie paddles that last forever and can cut through cold butter like a champ!***UPDATE*** Changed from 5 stars to 1. I don't like to leave bad reviews, but sorry this is a cheap product. Just like their other cooke paddles, these broke just like the others, but this time only after 3 uses and of course after the return window has closed. BOSCH...you make great products....please step up your game and make metal cookie paddles already! Why has this not been done yet????
