Lily Of The Desert Aloe Vera Gelly Bottle, 12 Ounce

me encanta el gel de aloe vera de lily of desert y lo usamos desde hace muchos años tanto para la hidratación de la piel como para el cabello como gel fijador. en la piel se absorbe muy bien y no se queda pegajoso a diferencia de otros geles de aloe vera que llevan aromas , colorantes y alcohol.

A couple years ago I bought this brand of aloe vera gel from a local health food store and loved it. It had a wonderful natural aloe vera smell and it was clearly real aloe vera. So when I ordered it on Amazon I assumed it’d be the same. When it arrived there was a difference on the front label which, at least as of now, is not present in the product photos. It’s text that says “NEW natural fragrance and fresh new feel.” I thought “Why would they add a fragrance to it when it’s already great and most people buy it for being as close to pure aloe Vera as possible? But it says it’s natural, so oh well.” Well when I opened and used it it didn’t have any of the nice aloe vera smell. It was only an unpleasant unnatural smell, just like the slightly dingy smell of a chemical cleaning solution used in a medical clinic. Either this is a fraud pretending to be real 99% aloe vera and they used the “NEW natural fragrance and fresh new feel” text to attempt to cover up how it’s different from the original natural aloe vera, or it is in fact 99% aloe vera and they just made a terrible and unnecessary decision to add a natural fragrance that smells unnatural, bad, and overpowers the smell of actual aloe vera. I can’t know which it is and I can’t trust it to be real aloe vera let alone not harmful to my skin, so I have to throw it away, and either way I was tricked. I don’t understand why there are many good reviews. I’m guessing the negative change was recent.
