I am an RN who has worked in dermatology and I was recommended to buy this product from one of the doctors I work with. I have been using this for about 4 months now and I must say that 75% of my hair is gone. I am very happy with the results. I have had professional laser hair removal at a medical spa in the past and I have the same results. The trick is that you have to have realistic expectations with laser hair removal. After a treatment, even years later, some sparse hairs will come back but overall, 90% of the hair is gone when compared to prior treatment. People must remember that it is only natural that our bodies grow hair, hair has a purpose and our bodies will want to grow hair in places where it needs to grow... and to expect any product to completely permanently remove hair "forever" is not very realistic. There is no such miracle product/drug when it comes to "tricking" nature to stop growing hair. However, TRIA is the closest thing that I've tried that minimizes hair growth comparable to salon results. The trick is learning how to use it. First of all, I used the product every 2 weeks since I got it. And I had visible results within the 1st month, 30% less hair growth (less hair growing back, less hair density, less ingrown hairs..etc) I treated my Brazilian, upper lip and sideburn areas. The main thing to consider when expecting results is what strength you decide to use in the area. For example, my sideburns and upper lip had quicker results since I was able to tolerate the strongest level (it only goes up to level 3). However, for more delicate, sensitive areas like Brazilian area, I was only able to tolerate level 1 or level 2, so obviously, these areas took a longer time/more treatment to get the results I wanted. I know that people get impatient and want quick and fast results, but you have to remember, if I were to use a level 3 in delicate skin areas, I would end up burning and leaving blisters on my skin, and this is worst result than having hair there, because it can lead to scarring, hyperpigmentation, and infection. Hair grows in phases/cycles so even though you treated one area and hair starts to "grow" back in the next week, it doesn't mean it didn't work, it means that the next hair cycle is ready to grow, and those new hairs erupting are not usually the same hairs you treated the prior week. Knowing this, this is why zapping your hair every day is not a good thing because you're essentially zapping hair that has already been treated. You need the new hair cycle to erupt so you can zap and treat those. This is why hair removal treatments need multiple months, because ideally you want to treat all the hairs in all the cycles to really get the hair gone. AND also, by using a level higher than you can tolerate is not going to effect the future hair cycles that are yet to come out, most likely you'll end up burning yourself. After each treatment, the hairs will take a few days to eventually fall off on their own. You can accelerate the "dead hairs" by exfoliating the area with a exfoliating glove and you will see those hairs, with the roots fall out on their own or even a towel when drying off from a shower. Keeping that in mind, being patient and safe is better than having blisters and burns. We are dealing with nature here, we are essentially trying to mess with nature and there's no miracle product. However, TRIA is the best at-home hair laser product so far, the small size is great for smaller and delicate areas. I got my money's worth and I recommend it to all my friends. To address the battery life of this product: It is a small device, therefore, it has a smaller battery and depending on what level you treat it will determine how much power you use. For example, if you use Level 3, you will expect the battery to not last as long than using a Level 1 because it uses a lot of power to zap hairs at a level 3. On a full charge, I was able to treat my side burns and Brazilian area on Level 2 before the device died and needed another charge. When I did treat an area I went over the area about 3x. A lot of people complaint about the short battery life, but I think that it's pretty good for the area it can cover and small battery it has. Remember, this is a smaller device, it is not meant for larger areas like legs. It is perfect for smaller areas and the battery life is perfect for it since it doesn't take long to treat these areas.

I purchased the Silk N bella hair removal laser many months ago and have had ok results on underarms but no results on upper lip/chin areas. I wasn't aware when I purchased it that there are different hair removal lasers on the market. The issue I had with the Silk N was that the diameter of the glass (where the laser light comes out) is so large that it's difficult to maneuver it in small areas. I think this is one of the reasons it's not working so well in some areas. However with the Tria Precision there is a much smaller window and I think a more concentrated beam of light. They both feel about the same however with a tiny twinge when activated but I can tolerate both easily on the highest setting. So far with the Tria I've found that more hairs seem to come loose within a few days compared to the Silk N. Time will tell however and I will come back and review them again in a month or two. So far if you are targeting a small area I would suggest the Tria and if you're looking to treat a larger area either the larger Tria or the Silk N might work better. I must say thought that just after a couple of treatments I think that the Tria will work much better for me but only time will tell. OK, so I've had this little jewel for nearly a year now and I still have black hairs everywhere! Either I'm not a good candidate (despite being very fair skinned and having black hair that I want to remove) or there is something wrong with the directions! I'm going to have to go to the derm and see if maybe their hair removal system can do a better job. Bottom line, a waste of money on the Silk N bella and wasted money on the Tria... just wanted to update and let you know that I got absolutely nowhere with either product.

I have had no hair loss at all.I am still hopeful but after my treatmwnts so far no hair falls out. It is not strong enough. I have used the more expensive model they sell and it is it worked much better. I have hair skin and dark brown hair with no Sun color so I don't understand why its not working at all buyer beware on this less expensive model.

Tria Hair Removal Laser does work okay (about 15% hair reduction in 2 months), but this is the second laser I've bought from them and both stopped working within 60 days. The laser is too expensive to not last at least six months. I could have had better results with a professional.

Alright ladies and gents, I waited a while to review this product. In the beginning I was not impressed. Here’s why: I bought it because I have PCOS, as I’m sure many of the women who buy this product do, and I needed it to control facial hair, specifically hair along my jawline and chin. I’ve had professional laser hair removal with some success on my upper lip, but for some reason my chin and jawline didn’t respond as well. I really wasn’t trying to shell out another thousand dollars for another round of laser hair removal so I decided to try this. My goal wasn’t even permanent hair removal at this point, I really just wanted something to keep the hairs at bay and maybe make them finer as opposed to the coarse hairs that I was dealing with. In the beginning I used it every two weeks as suggested and there was no noticeable difference at all. I was so disappointed. Then I read someone else’s review and she said that she used it every week and that’s what worked for her, so I decided to try the same method and OMG! It worked! Like, really worked. The hairs on my jawline are all but gone, the hairs on my chin are superfine. Now it took about a month of weekly treatments before I really saw a reduction. I still upkeep every two weeks. Maybe I don’t need to but I’m afraid of new hair follicles being stimulated as often happens with PCOS so I’m trying to kill those before they even emerge lol. I didn’t take a before picture but here’s the after. There is still one or two hairs hanging tough but that’s so much more manageable than the whole 5 o’clock shadow I had before!
