Yes, This does repel rain, and has kept our cart dry and clean. We’ve had it less than a year, and although it has faded on the side that gets direct sun, the fabric is still strong and water repellent.

It appears to be a type of resin that is coated. Very simple. We purchased in June 2019 and has been one of Those purchases you look back on and say “ This is the best thing ever!! I can put on the golf cart by myself(; it’s very easy to do this and take off easily. Almost oversized to protect golf cart. Easy to fold and maintain for long lasting use, for the price it’s easily worth it’s money. Ours IS underneath an oversized canopy as well and not out in direct weather. thanks
