This battery carrier is the ultimate in simplicity and utility, and is the best battery carrier I have ever used. The darn thing automatically adjusts to every battery size to fit EVERY type of car or car-type battery out there. To attach it, just push down to spread the grippers wide enough to reach over the sides of the battery and lift straight up. Gravity will do the rest. To release the battery, just sit the battery down, push down slightly on the Carrier handle, and slip it off. No adjustments, no screws, no ratchets, no metal clamps on the battery terminals, just gravity to hold the battery locked securely into the Lisle Battery Carrier, and a gentle push to release. I can hoist, manipulate, and carry heavy, acid-filled batteries of any size with safety and ease. Where have you been all my life?And it's MADE IN the USA!I bought this specifically to lift a specialty 36v lead-acid battery for my Black and Decker cordless mower, which is roughly the size of a typical car battery. Rather than put a lift strap on the 36v battery, B&D designed the battery with an 11 inch wide flat plastic top with flat stick-out horizontal handles for a two-hand grip. I'm sure B&D designed it so the handles would make it more convenient, but it's not convenient, and requires both hands to lift and balance the heavy battery in front to carry it to the plug-in charger, no fun at all.This Lisle Battery Carrier simply ignores the awkward Black & Decker battery design, and slips right over the plastic top to get a firm grip, making one-hand lifting and carrying this heavy battery super easy. I have since tried it on many other battery sizes and types, from my lawn tractor to my SUV to my wife's minivan to my toolbox (Yes the toolbox has a handle, just trying out everything), and it fits everything with a firm lock-on.And did I mention it's MADE IN the USA?If you're wondering, I do NOT work for Lisle, or have any connection with the company or any affiliate. Bought this, it to carry batteries, but large landscape bricks we use as borders along the landscaping. It worked great! Instead of having to bend over for the 100 30lb bricks we had, I could tip the brick over with my foot and grab it with this to put in the wheel barrow. Saved my back and saved me some time!

Good battery holder. It clamps on to the edge of the battery so you can carry it or move the battery in or out of the compartment. Haven't had any issues with it.
