Original battery was not holding - suddenly dying when it looks like it should have more time. Signs of a bad cell in it. Some search hits looked wildly different in shape (correct one is the skinny long rectangle with tabs, not the boxier ones). The bottom lid continues and wraps around the heat exhaust and back of speakers. Careful when you pry it open. Find a video on youtube. If the old battery died odds are this is a good time to step outside and blow out some of the dust from the heat sink and fans with gentle burstst from a can of air.I ordered the Laqueena. Seemed the closest to original and highest chance of working and being recognized by the laptop. Some of the newer Lenovo BIOS are very picky with aftermarket batteries.Installed with no issue. While the power and battery were out I did hold the power button 10 sec. Put the cover on to test if it boots - booted ok, no BIOS errors.Ran the lenovo scan - now battery is showing good health. 1 cycle - and good estimate of runtime (it will vary based on CPU). Going to complete a couple full discharge/charge cycles to help it calibrate estimates.

I recently purchased and installed the LAQUEENA L14M3P24 Laptop Battery as a replacement for my original one. Unfortunately, I found the battery to be lacking in both build quality and performance. Despite following the recommended four full charge-drain cycles, the battery feels cheaply made and fails to hold a charge for as long as the original battery did. The advertised full charge capacity also seems to be overstated based on my observations. Overall, I cannot recommend the XYZ PC battery due to its subpar quality and performance.

I had to wait a couple of months until I had time to install my battery, but it seems to be doing what it should. The last one was down to ZERO, even when plugged in. I did what I needed to do and got this one installed in about 10 minutes, maybe fifteen. It is important to charge it up full at first (mine came at around 50% charged) and use the computer until it runs out, then do that 3-4 times more. It helps calibrate the meter so it goes all the way to 100% and down to 0% before shutting off. I did it and saw it adjust slightly. I'm sure it also helps with the longevity of the battery life and each charge. It takes around 3.5 hours to run out. Good product!

This battery is garbage as it doesn’t last any longer than the 5 year old battery it replaced. Look elsewhere

A good fit for our old Lenovo. Had it for over a month and seems to work fine. Make sure you check your battery, the placement of fins, the connection area to make sure this is the same. There are some out there that state they are for the Y700-14IS but the battery is a mirror image

While trying to change out my batter with the tools provided by this, the flathead screwdriver chipped and is no longer functional, the phillips was too small, one of the two tools to open the top/bottom of the laptop broke about after just one side. The remaining bits of the screw driver chipped the internal laptop screws to the point they had no grip.End of the day i paid 50 dollars to never be able to use the laptop again. neat.

Lenovo LEGION Y520 runs 2 hours on full charge. I was expecting it to last 3 hours as it was with the original Lenovo battery but 2 is good enough for the money paid.
