HarperCollins The Fowl Twins

I need to point out I am a middle aged woman who was introduced to Artemis Fowl by my nephew a decade ago, and loved the series , each and every book. So I was excited to note the new extended family featuring his younger twin brothers.There is a cracking story, with adventure to the fore, well thought out characters which do bear a passing resemblance to the aforementioned characters in the Artemis series, but hey if it is not broke, do not try and fix it. I would see this as one of those book for children , with only a modicum of appeal for adults. But this is not a criticism as Eoin Colfer is a fantastic author of childrens books and has just brought out his first adult fantasy novel, so we are well served. Would recommend with gusto for the target audience

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy this as much as have all the Artemis Fowl books...well I did.Not giving anything away, but if you enjoyed big brothers adventures, you'll enjoy this.Different enough to be new, different enough to be similar, different enough to be Fowl.Looking forward to more in the series.

Good quality book, was well protected, personally not liking the change to Eion's writing style, there are occasions when it feels like his old work which Ihave been a fan of for as long as those books have been out but now these books read differently, like he is trying to advertise future books rather than tell the story. It spoils the magic of the books for me but brought this for a family of kids who I gave the Artimis Fowl set to preciously.

I have been a fan of Eion Colfer for several years and love the Artemis Fowl series. The Fowl Twins did not dissapoint! Looking forward to the next one!

I loved the Artemis Fowl books, but find this one a bit of a slog...started it a few months ago, never picked it up again...maybe just me!
