The packaging of the NYC Cityline style is: 11.73" L x 8.58" W x 2.36" H/30 x 21.8 x 6 cm, not including amazon shipping box.

Can each of the 4 monuments stand on its own, without being attached to the big base? Thanks!

Theoretically yes, however because it is intended to fit into the large base, the individual monuments have puzzle like edges on the bottom which depending on what you're going for may look a little strange if you had standing on it's own outside if the base. Hope that helped!

Is this a one and done or can it be taken apart to store and redo later?

I am afraid it is the one-time assembly 3d puzzle model. Of course, someone made this challenge, even though it's not recommended. Taking apart may demage pieces and hard to put together again without clear number.

Is it possible to separate/cut out buildings without ruining them? Need for a diarama project...

Yes, you make each building separate and place them into a base, so it is possible to have a building out on it's own.
