Since its Concave, Does this balances properly on flat electric coil stove

I have flame gas stove so it works great for me but I am not sure about how it would do with coil stove.

No. The griddle is concaved so wont work well on electric stoves

Can this be used for making dosas variety recipes??

I will not recommend this pan for making dosa

Hi Rohit Therre is more to say than I can at the moment. I was about to give up on my Futura Tava and donate it to the local Goodwill but the feel of quality and the sincerity with which the owners manual was prepared convinced me to give it one more try. I have an electric coil stove as it came with the apartment which I rent. Basically the Futura tava is like a huge flywheel that cannot change heat output at the flick of a temperature control on the electric stove. Once something seems amiss like a faint burning odor, or just a light puff of white smoke it is way too late to redress the situation, Turning down the temp control is like trying to turn the Titanic aside to miss an iceberg. What I do to avoid this type of disaster and make dosai and chapatti just like the pictures in the Futura owner manual is to set the temp of the coil to the setting that if the Tava was to sit on the coil with the heat turned on to the predetermined setting it could stay there for twenty minutes without going beyond 350 degrees Farenheit. This is approximate and you would need to experiment with your stove to see what settng that might be. I used a surface temperature infrared temp gauge and the precise directions on how a drop of water should respond on the tava surface printed in the owners manual. I put just a quarter or half teaspoon of coconut or ghee oil in the center of the tav a as it is heating up and check the temp with my techy tool and the drop of water technique. When the water sizzles just right it should be about 350 degrees Farenheit. It is then that I take a silicome basting brush and spread the oil around all over the surface of the tav a and pour in room temp or higer Dosa batter and make a tasty Uttarpam just like the picture in the manual. There is an art to it but this one major point about keeping the temp control low so that it takes a good long while to achieve cooking level means you will not need to readjust for heat when the tava has already gone beyond the point of no return in ability to lower its temperature in time to save the dosa from sticking and burning on the underside and creating a sloppy ragged and unappealing flat tire of a mess. Hope this helps. The Futura is a champ but it is not nimble like a quarter horse.

Chipped coating

Received with chipped coating, seems like a very thin layer too. 5 year warranty but failed on day 1. Not the best quality, very likely particles of this coating will go into your food, stick to stainless steel. Not sure why i can't upload pic. Sent back for refund

Very happy with this item. It looks to be of good quality. I've used a hard anodized tawa before, from another brand and that lasted me many years (before I accidentally put it in the dishwasher). This seems to be of even better quality. Used a few times already and it functions just like nonstick without the harmful coatings

Make sure you read everything before use and instructions on how to properly clean. I LOVE this pan...made Naan with 1/8 of the oil I would have used in a regular pan. Even heat, absolutely best purchase I’ve made in a very long time, not a penny wasted. Very easy to clean if you FOLLOW instructions, so don’t skimp on reading it.
