What It Really Takes to Run a Magazine Like Vogue
Inside Vogue is an interesting account of what an editor of such a prestigious publication as British Vogue actually does, what motivates her choices, and what choices she does, in fact, have. Although she doesn't specifically state it, you get a sense of her vision for Vogue (a mirror to the culture), her point of view (definitely urban, middle class, career-driven, left-of-center but also establishment -- spoiler -- she's a monarchist), and her preoccupations (her family's legacy in the publishing world, how a "real" woman wears Fashion). If you are looking for dish on Kate Moss's drug use or whether Kate Middleton was uppity at her photo shoot, you are not going to get it. Alexandra Shulman shows that highest of style virtues: restraint.

“Very Good” descriprion, “Very Bad” product
FYI: This is NOT “Very Good Quality”. Of course the book was only 2€ (+shipping). Although the description does not match the actual product I receaved. I would have bought it anyway, even if the quality would have been fair or poor. It’s the fact that the description lies about it, that makes me mad. However...

A must read
I loved it. It is a treat for Vogue lovers and Alex's writing is very witty and very engaging. Extremely well written. A must read for Fashion people and for those who enjoy to read quality journalism. Each page of this book is implacably put together.

Okay but....
Probably not worth reading unless you are interested in the inside story of Vogue. Rather boring in the end I thought.
