I keep these in my boat so when I periodically remove my prop to check for fishing line or debris I pop a new pin in for peace of mind

What is there to say? These are cotter pins. They’re made out of metal. They work great. The bar is set pretty low because all they have to do is bend when you want them to and hold that nut in place. Which is what they do.
