Clear sound, and works very well with the Retevis RT68

I have gotten two mics. Both will be returned for a refund. I thought it might have been just one being defective . However,neither of the two sounded great or would even key up my radio. I'm using a Baofeng BF-F8HP. I was looking forward to using this while mobile in the car but that was an epic fail. ****Update Retevis and Angela their representative was amazing at addressing my problems and helping. Through their assistance I was able to solve my issue. I can honestly say this mic works as described and in the future will be purchasing another. Thank you again for the quick response and help.

I purchased this mic to pair with the RT5 and it works great! Fits in the radio well with clear sound receiving and transmitting. Great value for the money, PLUS Retevis' customer service is top notch! They reply quickly and patiently answered all my questions!

*** FINAL UPDATE *** Angela at Retevis was as good as her word. The replacement microphone works as well. It is not as clear as some, but far better than any others in the under $15 price range. This is a hot mic, and needs to be held at least 8 inches from your face. Audio quality is good. The strength of this mic is the way it feels in your hand... Perfect for desk or mobile use. Signal reports reflect good, strong audio, without a lot of background noise. Overall, a great deal for the money. I'm holding off on the 5th star pending further signal reports and testing. Overall, I like it a lot. My sincere appreciation goes out to Angela Lee and the team at Retevis. I have never had better customer service from any vendor. They bent over backwards to make this right. *** UPDATE *** I received a phone call from Angela Lee at Retevis. After discussing the problem, she will be sending me a replacement microphone at no cost. Angela was polite, courteous and helpful. What impressed me most was receiving an international phone call within hours of posting my review. It is hard to beat responsive customer service like that. For now, I am altering my review to three stars instead of one based on the great customer service. I will do a final revision once the replacement is received and tested. Hopefully, mine was just a bad example. Construction seems solid, although the clip is cheap and not likely to hold up under hard use. But it has almost no audio output on transmit. TX audio is about 25% of what it should be, and what there is is so muffled and distorted as to be useless for transmitting. Tested on Baofeng GT-3, UV-82, UV-5R%, and TYT MD-380 radios.No TX audio on any of the three.

Mic click works but it will not transmit audio. I can hear others but they can't hear me. Apparently this is a common issue due to poor QC. I cracked it open but I can't see anything obvious to re-solder or bridge. I would have returned had I tested it within the 30 day period.

Delivery was fast and it fits and works perfectly. We will see how long it lasts.

The construction of the microphone is sufficient. I purchased two of these for myself and a coworker. I work in industrial maintenance and we use Retevis H-777 radios. The first couple of days were fine but now after a full week of use, the mics seem muffled and the volume is substantially quieter than before - even when turned up completely. My partner doesn’t even use his at all because he can’t hear me call him with it connected. I won’t say it is entirely the hand mic at fault here but there is a noticeable difference with and without it.

Great product easy to use. Arrived nice and early

The speaker provides good audio. I ended up taking the cover apart and drilling some additional holes to allow more air to get to the microphone. People complained that my voice sounded muffled until I added the extra holes.

It doesn't work - at all. When attempting to get a replacement I got lost on the website form and eventually gave up. To keep things simple I will throw this thing in the garbage you keep the $19.99 and everyone is happy - except me. Have a nice day! How come I can't give a rating less than 1.
