I am amazed!
I learned and now understand why Rite in the Rain products are so valuable and loved. Last night our biology team was outside working in the field in heavy rain. I was the only one who had a rite in the rain pen, everyone else had regular pens, but we all had the same journal. I was the only one that could write for the evening, everyone else’s pens failed in the rain. My journal was literally a sheet of standing water and the pen was writing through it. I am amazed! It was such a great experience and we saw so many awesome things.

As expected
I’m admittedly a pen snob. Lol. It’s a RitR pen and it does and performs precisely as it should. My [snob] side doesn’t like it’s all plastic. Easy to just get thrown in with all the rest per se. Because it’s pricey-er than your standard Bic, I don’t like that. Why? Because it makes swiping it that much easier. Beefier and/or ‘different’ pens are harder to swipe because they realize it’s not a ‘box pen’. But yeah, it’s a RitR pen and performs perfectly.

Perfect for the task it is needed for
I am glad I managed to find one of these pens on here because I needed it for a college class and fast. This class requires much outdoor time, so I needed something that I could write in heavy rains. Stores in my area carry this type of weather pen, but they are a lot more expensive than I need. It also rains here a lot, so I needed something fast. This was probably the best option for me to get. I not only shipped in a reasonable amount of time, but it also works like a charm for the weather I have to endure for my class. The pen is also well priced for its quality. Overall I would recommend getting this pen because it gets the job done and a fair price.

rite in the rain!!!!
Its an awesome system. Combine this pen with a rite in the rain field journal and you're set for any condition.A friend gave me my first to keep track of our progress in the gym, which it did very well. Sweat, grime, etc did not affect this pens ability to write or the books ability to be written in. So I took it camping and literally wrote in the rain, and it held up to its name.I dropped it in a stream, wiped it off on my shirt and immediately took the pen to paper and yet again, it held up to its name.It has a wide range of practical uses, from law enforcement to camping to exercise.

Really Writes on Wet Paper
This pen is amazing!I do car duty in the afternoons when school is being dismissed. This means in any weather I’m standing outside writing down students’ car numbers. When it rains, it is awful. The paper gets wet and no pens will write on it.Today was the first time I needed to use this pen. It was raining the whole time. The paper was getting soaked. But this pen kept on writing on the wet paper with no bleeding of the ink.I wish I had bought this pen years ago.

Plain plastic construction but writes well!
Economical grade pen- expected more robust construction. Refill makes up for it. About the refill, a spare that I ordered arrived dented in its body. I replaced the one in Rite pen and it still functioned - retracted and wrote well. No complaints in what I expect of a pen but if you are expecting something on a level of Parker pens, look elsewhere. For me, this instrument is okay but not as robust as I would like.Update: May 30, 2021Pen was in my backpack as a emergency pen. Brand new refill. Untouched before then of above review. Pen doesn’t write! Used up a lot of paper as I forcefully press the tip to get ink to flow. The best it did was skip write. Intermittent ink flows out. I hesitate to buy another refill. As it stands, I won’t buy again! Sorry to all of my earlier review mislead you. Maybe I got a lemon. Thanks for reading this review!
