Barbie Fashionistas Varsity Plaiditude Doll, Original

This varsity edition fashionista is hands down one of if not the most unique I've seen. BLONDE AFRO & freckles = Amazing! She reminds me of a black girl with albinism, with her hair and features, she's so cool! She's on a petite body type and she looks fantastic with many different hair styles and colours, she truly is unique and diverse. Can't wait for the day there is a M2M petite body in her tone. She's one of my fave dolls in my collection.

A unique doll with lovely features. Definitely a distinct look from other dolls. The high heel foot is nice to see on this petite girl, so she has more options for shoes than the flat footed dolls. I've bought multiple of this doll and have found that her hair texture can differ between them. She can arrive with quite messy hair but it can be fixed and shaped easily using just your fingers. I do NOT recommend using a brush on this hair type. Overall she is a lovely doll and I am glad to have her in my collection!

She is gorgeous. You can tell that this doll is meant to represent a girl with albinoisim. She has african features, a wide nose, fuller lips and very pale skin. I think they should have given her the pink eyes and actually said what they were doing. Instead I think they were wary, a little too scared to go the full route with this gorgeous doll. Come on Mattel. You are almost there. Do not let another company do what you are afraid to do. REPRESENT! vitilligo doll next please. Oh and the clothes... LBGQT rainbow tops? Also, dont put Barboe in a wheelchair. You have a charactor already . Beth? Back to this doll. I personally didnt think the skirt fit the rest of the outfit so i rolled it up to be mini and to show the top as fully cropped. Her hair could have been alot better too. Its literally sponge! IS THAT HOW YOU SEE AFRO'S? 1 star lost for the hair. I am an adult collector and this doll is mainly in a cabinet but i can imagine little kids will soon destroy that sponge! (Dont kids love to comb dolls hair?) The body is curvy and lovely, petite. And she is so beautiful and happy. I agree that her freckles could have been alot more defined. Or are freckles too controversial also? Just go the extra mile and we will ALL have dolls to represent our looks.

Je possède quelques-unes des fashionistas et Mattel me surprend toujours! Une poupée Albinos, avec ses cheveux afro et ses petites tâches de rousseur elle est vraiment craquante. J’en ai plusieurs afro mais je suis très heureuse de voir que Mattel ose de plus en plus de poupées différentes. J’espère que le prochaine étape et une Barbie Vitiligo. Sur la seconde photo on l’a voie avec sa copine!
