So I got this Artilife Closed Cell Sponge Foam Sheet Roll, mainly because I thought, “Hey, sponge foam sounds like a cozy mattress for my life’s problems.” But then I hit a snag: what the heck is “closed cell” anyway?Is it a secret society of sponge cells that don’t talk to outsiders? A foam version of a VIP club where only certain bubbles get to hang out? Or maybe it’s just foam that refuses to let water crash its party? Honestly, I have no idea, but it sounds important and science-y enough to justify my purchase.Anyway, this foam roll is surprisingly versatile. It’s dense, squishy, and somehow both firm and soft at the same time — like hugging a marshmallow made out of steel. I tried using it for all kinds of stuff: padding, insulation, cushion for my aching soul. It’s been a loyal companion through thick and thin (literally).If you want a foam that’s like a secret agent sponge — tough, water-resistant, and totally mysterious — this is it. Just don’t ask me to explain “closed cell.” I’m still googling that.

As advertised. Good stuff

I did need three of these, but exactly what I needed to protect my aquarium sump. I cut it to fit under my sump, and duck tapped them together. Looks good, and provides the needed cushion to protect my expensive sump.

Fine for what it is but I needed 80 inches and I got 77.

Used this to put in my outdoor shower water container.Helps the water stay clean and water warm.
