Delouis Fils French Mayonnaise, 8.8-Ounce Bottle (Pack of 4)

We used to be able to buy this at our local whole foods market but a few years ago it was discontinued. We were spoiled. We tried so many other mayos and nothing came close. Finally I found some on line at a famous market in New York but once I'd registered on that site it turned out they didn't really have it. This, on Amazon, is the real deal. I ordered this four-pack a few months ago and doubled down now because that batch is going fast. The sell-by date of the order I received today is October 2015, which is great for this product, as they seem to be very conservative with their suggested shelf life. My only caution is, it will spoil you from ever wanting to use the stuff you can get in your local supermarket again. And there does seem to be an issue with availability.Same goes for their garlic mayo (aioli).

This is an amazing product.......just like I remember as a child. After receiving this, my boyfriend went through 2 bottles in no time. He spent time in Belgium as a child and says this is just like the mayonnaise he was served then. I had to hide the leftovers from him so I could enjoy them for special occasions.This sure beats the frankenfood that passes for mayonnaise at the local stores.

Since first purchasing this mayonnaise, I started making my own. I never liked mayonnaise, but read somewhere about this one and tried it. I loved the mayonnaise, except that it contains a sunflower oil, that I choose to avoid.

As much as I liked the garlic version, I disliked the plain version. There is an off flavor that is somewhat masked by the mustard... it is the unmistakable flavor of a moldy lemon's penicillin. I have opened 2 of the 4 jars & both were the same. I can only assume a moldy lemon made it into production line & tainted the whole batch. I may try this mayo again to see if this is a one time anomaly, but I really hate bad quality control, especially on a pricey gourmet item.

This is the real thing and worth every penny. Not like that icky BestFoods stuff. Slather it on anything and everything. Yum.

I thought Hellmann's was good, but it can't hold a candle to Delouis Fils French Mayonnaise. It's especially good with ham and vegetables in a salad.

Not as good as Bénédicta, but better than any American mayonnaise.

The best kind of mayo, I think.
