the pens are weighteand the biggest plus is that look like collector pens. they have sufficient weight that I can read my writing once again. if additional stabilizing weight is needed place cap on top. My husbands surprise gift was great.. Fantastic.balanced weight

I had really bad ataxia due to AVM. I was told by several therapists that using weights, weighted utensils, and weighted pens would be advantageous. None of them worked. I found that using a regular pen gave me much better results. This could just be me though. I have gotten much better using regular every day items. The flow of the ink is a little spotty, but the pens look great.

I bought this because I have a central tremors. It is heavy enough that I can write with it.

These pens look classy and sophisticated and not at all like a therapeutic product. They are packaged nicely in a sturdy hinged box and make a lovely gift (FYI though that the presentation box does denote that they are special pens in case you are gifting them to someone who would rather not be reminded). Although they were a gift for my elderly mom who has a tremor, all of my family members who tried them enjoyed using them so I am glad to have the set of three in case my mom’s pens start getting “borrowed”! The individual pens are handsome and feel luxurious though so they would also be great if you wanted to separate the set and gift to multiple different recipients along with a planner or gardening or travel journal or set of nice notecards or notepads. Overall I am impressed with the product and although I have no writing issues I may buy myself some next just because I liked the feel of writing with them.
