You're probably here because you're:- A car enthusiast- Polishing beginner- Looking for a quite polisher that wouldn't bother your neighbors.Well, I was looking for some reviews that would give me the answer before I buy this polisher and I couldn't find one, I tried looking for a similar model in amazon US website and tried to map the reviews to this one.I bought this polisher and ordered Meguiar’s 6" DA Foam pads from Amazon US website. I ordered also the velcro straps (the industrial strength one).Once I received it all, I made sure that it is DA polisher, it spins not in a rotary orbit, but in guided oval orbit.I didn't use the pads that came with the polisher, I used the velcro strap to install the foam pads. I used it with Meguiar’s compound and Meguiar’s polish. The results was good enough for me. The motor isn't very strong, so don't push against the panel. you need to be gently guiding it over the car panel. In fact I found it better this way for the beginners as it won't spin if you push it hard. once you put the polish on the pad try to distribute it with the pad using your two hands on the panel, move it by hand in lines and the pad will rotate without putting the polisher on.The polisher with the pads works great as you would expect from a beginner's tool. the polisher isn't loud, you can easily use it without disturbing your neighbors, it is not louder than any power washer you may be using.Be sure to work in shade, split the hood and the trunk to 6 areas. doors to 4. work in small areas, wipe the polish before it dries. put the cable above your shoulder. gently guiding it over the car panel

I was expecting a bit more power but I cannot complain considering the price. It does a basic job and reduces the amount of rubing required during car polishing, however it requires to master a light pressure tecnique to avoid wheel from stop spinning due to too much pressure against the surface. If you are a seriour car DYI and plan to polish/wax your car regularly (3 to 4 times per year) spend a bit more and get something with more power (over 200w)
