Love this stuff!
I was first introduced to this amazing oil by an acupuncturist in 2002. I lost contact with her when we both left the area we lived in and then couldn't find the oil because the bottle I had was written completely in Chinese. I looked and looked and finally found it here on Amazon a few weeks ago. I ordered this and zheng gu shui, not being sure which one was the right one. As soon as I opened the kwan loong oil I knew it was the right one just from the aroma. I have osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis as well as bulging disks in my neck and lower back, all of which cause me a lot of pain every day. I don't like to take pain pills so I can now put this on whatever is bothering me and have pain relief for quite a few hours. And if I put either heat or ice on the same spot, in addition to the oil, it lasts even longer! Fair warning, it has a very strong smell but since I associate it with pain relief it smells absolutely wonderful to me. Highly recommend this to everyone!

The best of an informal test of three Chinese lineaments that I tried
I bought sample of Lo Sum On oil and White Flower oils along with this one. It has eucalyptus oil and spike Lavender oil in it and has a pleasant fragrance, no Ben Gay style hold your nose here comes the old guy odor. I thought this was #3 at first, but now it is #1. It worked for me within about 10 minutes and seemed to act better than the other two, although all three are good. This is a bigger bottle so it is the best economically among the three. This is a great value.

Good for lots of things besides muscle pain too...
This is a pleasant smelling mixture of menthol and eucalyptus that, for me, has more uses than just tired/ sore muscles. When I was in Thailand I was told that people will use a product similar to put near their nostrils so they can't smell the pollution there, so I gave it a try and it works wonders for hiding offensive odors. Putting a few drops in a hanky to keep close to the nose also helps to open up the sinuses when I have a cold or sinus infection. It's soothing to breathe the scent if I feel nauseated or faint. Oddly, I can "taste" an IV saline flush (and in turn will get a migraine) but if I put a drop of this on each nostril before the flush I have no problem at all. Smelling it before/during chemo has proved helpful for a family member too. I love this product.

Instant relief for chronic joint pain
LOVE THIS STUFF! I have chronic knee pain and find this liquid superior to the tiger balm rubs.It is strong and works instantly. Great for immediate relief. The only con is the bottle leaks so I can't toss it in my purse and travel with it.I tried putting it in a zip lock baggie, but so much spilled out and it was so messy that I just keep it at home now and don't take nay chances. If you're sore after a work out or have chronic pain this is a must!Buy it for yourself, your mom, your grandma, etc. They will thank you!

Not massage oil.
I was introduced to Prince of Peace - Kwan Loon Oil by a yoga instructor. I have a lot of stress induced neck and shoulder pain, but one bottle has lasted me over two years. For pain, I give it an A+...as for massage oil (which it never claimed to be--I just got a bit too creative), well... just read on.To set the mood, it was around midnight. The candles were lit and Portishead was playing softly in the background as the scent of Nag Champa incense filled the room. I wanted to treat the person I was dating to a massage. I then remembered that I had some Kwan Loon Oil in my medicine cabinet and I grabbed it! I was going to give him the best massage he had ever had.He prepared for the massage treatment by laying on his stomach in his birthday suit. For the first five minutes, it was going really well. But all of a sudden he totally froze up and told me that his ass crack was on fire. Some of the oil had trickled down his back and instead of being totally relaxed, it was like he was covered in fire ants!He jumped in the shower and both of us tried to scrub it off, but it absorbs into your skin! I felt so badly. My intentions were in the right place, but my judgement was not. The rest of the night he was really pissy, but I totally understood. The incident makes me laugh now, especially because he turned out to be a total jerk.

Had no effect on my aching muscles at all
I have lower back pain that comes & goes, but has been particularly bad over the past 6 months. I am 43, 5'6, 120 lbs, and take good care of myself. I do not always want to take NSAIDS to manage my low back discomfort. I usually like to use extra strength Tiger Balm, which works quite well. However, I was encouraged to try other liniments/oils to see if anything else would help as effectively or more effectively than the Tiger Balm. I ordered this, Chine Oel (a German product my family in Germany has been pushing me to try) and White Flower Oil. This item arrived first. It did not create any heating/cooling effect worth noting - but the smell! Like old NECCO wafers, if you remember those! This item did not even provide momentary relief. I do not fool myself about what these products are doing - they are counter-irritants meant to steer your brain away from pain sensations to other sensations, the same as rubbing your head instinctively after bumping it. But some products do a better job than others. Skip this one. The China Oel arrived today and the little bit I have tried - WHOA! Now THAT is what I am talking about! I will review that one separately. My husband asked me, if I disliked this so much, why didn't I give it ONE star? Well, to be honest, I like the harder stuff, like the extra strength Tiger balm, I can handle that kind of cooling/heating effect. Some people might be more sensitive and need a more gentle stimulus for their pain. So for this reason, I give it 2 instead of 1 star.

I expected more.
I decided to stray from my tiger balm product loyalty path. I wanted to find something a little stronger in the oil department. But I cannot say Prince of Peace is the one. Its good. A light warmth with a pleasent scent but not great.
