Perfect for waffle cookies!
This has been a well-used item! We make waffle cookies and the smaller squares in the waffles make them so much better than a Belgian-style! I love that! The only thing that I would change about this is the creepy sounding waffle alert! LOL, it starts off high-pitched and then seems to slow down and get lower! It reminds me of the doorbell ringing scene in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (for those of you who have seen it).

DO NOT BUY
This product is incapable of making acceptable waffles. It does not produce enough heat to bake, even on the max heat setting, 5 minutes bake time and the waffle was still light colored and floppy. The indicator light is a joke, doesn't work like the instructions say. I returned the first one thinking it was faulty. The replacement is just as bad. Don't waste time and money on this product

Makes Good Waffles
I love waffles and pancakes. When it comes to waffles I like the waffles to be of the type that have alot of the little squares on it much like they serve at Waffle House or most places that serve waffles on the menu. 7 - 10 inch waffles are what you normally find at these places and I didnt want to spend $200 on a waffle maker to get 10 inch waffle so I settle for this waffle iron. It works just as expected and it makes them in the size I like. I use cooking spray on each side or a bit of pump spray butter and they come out fine every time. Just be away that if you dont spread your batter out just a bit or you use to much it will over flow once you close the lid. There is also no lock on the iron so when you close it down it will rise some when it bakes the waffle batter. I either press down on it or Ill use something with some weight to weigh it down with

Was going to return UNTIL I found the trick
I tried making waffles in this three time and then begun to request my return. Each time the waffle was half undercooked and even burnt is some spots. I decided to try it one more time before setting it out for UPS pick up for return and FINALLY made a decent batch of waffles. The trick is do NOT use ANY kind of spray, butter or other non stick oil. Put your mix in the are waffle maker. Make sure it’s turned on max and leave it in there for longer than when the light tells you it’s ready, checking it periodically. By doing this I was able to finally make regular edible waffles that were all the way cooked through. If this is too much for you, I suggest finding another waffle maker...but I will say finding a traditional American/non Belgian waffle maker that isn’t restaurant price is difficult.

This is a great product and glad was able to find here. Hard to find the classic waffle maker in stores.

Instructions are confusing and difficult to clean
The instructions almost seem backwards. It says to turn the knob to 7 (and it only goes up to 6), and the light would turn on...letting me know it has heated up enough to pour the batter. I turned it all the way up...and it barely got hot. I could put my hand on the plate and not even get a tingle. I turned the knob the other way (to 1), the light turned off...but the plates got hot.The waffles came out fine...and I liked that it beeped when it was ready. Loud only if I was on top of the machine, but when I was in the next room, it was a perfect volume. However, when the waffles were all gone and it was time to clean the machine...that's where the fun really began. The side of the machines, where the overflow of batter dripped was almost impossible to clean. I was careful not to go crazy on the batter, but the bits that did seemed to go into every nook and cranny of the machine. And since I couldn't take the machine apart (non-removable plates), I couldn't clean the rest of the machine without taking a chance of scratching it all up.I only used it once, but I don't think I will use it again. It would seem the next time I heated the machine...all the scraps and drips on the machine will just cook into the machine even more. The bad news is...I was out of town for two weeks and couldn't use it right away and now I can't return it because it's too late. :( Next time I will definitely BUY ONE WITH REMOVABLE PLATES.

For a single person this is perfect
For a single person or a couple this is perfect I mix a half of batch pancake or waffle batter and make 3 single waffles fast and golden brown. I’m single so I freeze 2 till I want them. Awesome great price.

Hard pass
Why does this waffle maker even exist? Man I almost never leave reviews, but this was a disappointment all across the board. The heating element is terrible, and even on the max heat setting, it never got warm enough to make waffles. The light is supposed to turn off after 5-8 minutes to indicate it's hot enough to use. After almost 20 minutes it still wasn't hot enough. Just ended up cranking it to MAX heat setting to try to make a waffle, ended up with a soggy limp waffle, even after letting it cook for 10 minutes instead of the recommended 3 minutes. The reviews from years ago ago stated it beeped when the waffles were ready. That feature has been removed on the new model. No beep, lights don't work. You literally have to guess when your waffle is ready. But here's the thing.. it's never ready, because it doesn't get hot enough to cook batter. The light indicators don't work as described in the instructions. The lid is loose and wobbly. All recent reviews are the same. Don't waste your time on this product. Quality of materials and electric components have obviously been obliterated since 2017.
