Merrell Womens Yokota 2

Received this morning and I went for a hike right away. These hiking boots are amazing, I took a very narrow and steep trail up to the top. The traction of these shoes are incredible, the sole is thick enough, yet flexible. These hiking shoes hold my feet very well, super stable. No break in was necessary. I also love this color, reminds me to the desert. My regular shoe size is 7, I ordered 7.5 for some wiggle room, and I'm glad I did. I'll stick with Merrell from now, I love these boots so much, I'm going to hike every day now! Will order a pair for my hubby for his birthday too.

Firm shoes. I would buy again. True to size. I am a 9.5 regular (not wide) foot. These fit me perfectly, however I may need to buy inserts for the footbed as there is not much cushion. I’m used to memory foam footbeds and these are a little firmer than I like but I would buy them again.

These are the most comfortable and durable hiking shoe ever and you can’t beat the price! I recommend!

Here are my initial thoughts on these shoes as I only received them yesterday and have worn them for several hours today:1. I find the fit to be perfect for me. I have a wider foot with bunions and there is plenty of room for my feet to be comfortable.2. The arch support is in just the right place.3. The shoes seem to be well constructed with nice soles on the bottom4. I read several reviews that talked about needing to "break them in." I don't think that I will be needing a break-in period.5. I am happy with what I have received for the money that I spent.6. I did buy some stretchy no tie shoe laces to replace the ones that came with the shoes in order to make them slip-on/slip-off.7. I will be taking a trip to the Adirondack mountains in the fall and will post an update as to how they worked for me.

I love these shoes! They were comfortable the moment I put them on, gave me great support, and looked fabulous. I can wear them for casual or semi-casual. They feel so good on my feet.

Loved the first pair, wore to work (on feet all day) and broke in now, so they are my walking/hiking shoes. Bought second pair for work only, and especially rainy or snowy weather. Definitely water resistant, my feet stay dry for most part. I feel confident on slippery snow, ice.

I found this particular style to run a bit short. I normally wear a 10 in this brand, but need a 10.5 in this style. My toe was touching.

Planning to wear them to hike this summer. They are comfortable and not too heavy for hiking.
