Update: I initially had problems with this item, which failed shortly after the return period was up. However, the seller reached out to me and offered a replacement. I was honestly surprised by this level of service. So often on here I feel like sellers appear and disappear overnight. In regard to the item, I understand that some things will fail, that's life. I use this GFCI extension cord in an outdoor setting. This GFCI product itself is protected from wet weather, just not the power cords using this product. I use it during the winter to run power through to my greenhouse for outdoor plants. My weather protected AC outlet is not GFCI enabled so I use this. So far no issues whatsoever after using most of last winter. Recommended.

Using it for outdoor Christmas lights that short out when it rains to prevent the whole circuit from shorting. When the lights dry out, it works again just fine, exactly what I needed.
