Smart Practice Workbook: Fifth Grade (Smart Practice Workbooks)

I have really enjoyed working out of this book with my son. He’s a 5th grader and this book def covers grade level material. He’s tasked with completing various subjects M-F as a supplement to his class not having home work and I use this book to complete that requirement. (My requirement) His grades have def improved by the use of this book and one other accompanying book I purchased on Amazon. I am most certainlysatisfied with my purchase.

I brought this 5th grade workbook for my son who is entering 5th grade this Fall. The book includes different subject areas and they are color-coded based on subject areas. I assigned pages to my son based on subject area (1 page per subject area daily) throughout this summer and he has enjoyed working on this book so much. My only complaint is that the book does not include brief explanation on the subject matter that the exercise is for in the Math section. It does not really explain the concept on the page, instead, the page only includes list of questions related to the same topic. I am not sure if the book is designed for people who are in 5th grade and just uses this book to enrich their learning along the way or if the book is designed for people who is trying to prep for 5th grade. If it is the first one, then I understand. The book is over 300 pages and it is not designed to be peel off. I would prefer a workbook that can be peeled off so that I can take a few pages with me when going out. Overall it worths the money spent.

My daughter loves to learn, and is learning new things with this book, I have helped explain to her what the book is looking for as far as answers. Then, she moves on to her work.

I ordered this when school was dismissed do to covid-19. I got it simply because it contained all the subjects for 5th grade, instead of just one subject per workbook. My 5th grader was able to verify that they had covered most of the material that was in the book, which is what I expected since they were dismissed March 19th. I essentially got this as a review of what they have covered during the year and as learning material that we could go over so that he did not miss any important information that he would need for 6th grade. If you're looking for something to refresh a 5th grader or to prepare them for 6th grade I would highly recommend this book

Nice book but just was not what I expected.so a little disappointed. But still good.

I was a teacher for 30 years. I always trusted Scholastic material. This book I am using to keep my granddaughter learning through the summer. I like it.

I bought this for my classroom. Seems better suited for parents wanting a resource for their child during summer time. Daily activities would probably take 30-60 minutes.

I love it it’s perfect for him since he don’t have summer school he can still work on this book and and keep his brain active throughout the summer
