They seem a bit on the light size in weight, perhaps giving the illusion they are toy like. However, these work like a champ. the are solid in construction, the audio from the speaker is comparable to other lapel microphones on the market, and the ptt switch seems to hold up well, ergonomically positioned correctly for quick use. Did i mention the sound is pretty good! Thumps Up on the low cost for a nice little product.

I purchased these so we could put the radio in a pouch and you wouldn't have to put it out every time we wanted to use it. They are a little smaller and lighter than the more expensive brands but seem to work well. They work on my Tidradios and on Baofeng uv5r as they have the same female mic plugs. The cords seem to recoil very well but with my past experience they will most likely stretch out a little. The speaker on it is adjusted by adjusting the volume on the radio and sound comes through clear. The mic on the hand held seems to pick up voice very well and the push button to transmit has a slight click to let you know it has been pushed in. Overall a good purchase for the price and should last for a good while.

Every Friday I drive from my QTH in Brevard, NC to Asheville, NC to have coffee with retired members of my amateur radio club. As I am driving, I join a network. This speaker mic allows me to use my HT without having to pick it up. Sound quality of the Microphone is very good. The sound quality of the speaker is very good.

Although these speaker mics are for these radios(Tidradios), they don't sound very loud when you turn up the volume. It disappointed me.

The microphone works well when you speak directly into it at a very small distance. The speaker works well at full volume, just like the radio. Easier to use these than bringing the whole radio up to your mouth to speak each time. Small price to pay for this efficiency. These are durable and small enough for any sized hand. These are wired and plugged directly into the side of the radio. No other batteries are needed, aside from what comes with the radio itself.

I bought a set of 2 mics. Right out of the gate the first mic didn't even work at all. The second mic lasted about month before the ptt button gets stuck and doesn't release. These are junk, pay more money and get a better one.

The item showed up on time and worked exactly as advertised. I started using it right out of the box. I simply plugged it in and went to work. Its a great value, good sound quality. I plan on buying another one soon.
