The media could not be loaded.  I have a Ring doorbell camera and I guess I connected the doorbell wiring incorrectly because whenever someone rings it, it sounds like a dying cat. But the camera works fine, so I didn’t want to mess with it,I thought it would be fun to put up this old fashioned doorbell and put a note over the Ring doorbell button that says, “Please ring bell above.”I installed it yesterday evening. This morning an Amazon delivery driver showed up. She saw my note and rang my new doorbell. I could hear it just fine inside my house. I got the biggest kick out of that. I love it! What a fun alternative to modern doorbells. The irony is that an Amazon driver was the first to ring it and that’s where I bought it.I highly recommend it. It’s loud, sturdy, attractive, and fun.

when I received this bell it was not assembled. I had to attach the bell to the wall hanger. the screw that came with it to attaché the bell which also holds the dinger had no threads on it so it would not screw into the bracket. I had to drill out the hanger and tap it for a new larger bolt and install an eye bolt. now it works great. but if you are not the handy man type with a surplus of misc. hardware on hand you could be out of luck.

We live in 9 acres and this is how I "call" my kids to come in. They think it's pretty cool and I save my voice from yelling for them. They can hear this no matter where they are on the property. My dogs have even started coming to the bell, lol.It's made of very heavy wrought iron and looks very nice attached to the brick on the outside of our door on the porch.My grandmother had a huge one on a post outside of her house when we were growing up and I always loved the sound it made when she would ring it. Ringing this bell for my kids to come in reminds me of when I was running in to come in for dinner when she would ring her bell. I love the memories this conjures up 35 years later.

The bell has a nice clear ring and when we wrote to North American Country Home with an unusual question about the bell we received an answer from the President and the warehouse manager. Can't ask for better service...
