Brilliant Book! Let down by Amazon
The book comes with a wealth of informative suggestions and opens up an avenue of ideas by the author 'Kai Wong'. I have been following him for some years as he is a prevalent 'FaceTuber'. A lot of his reviews, ideas & presentations are well worth watching, along with reading this book. However, I do not think the author would be impressed with the actual quality of the book amazon deliver .. The first book ordered arrived looking like it had been left on a main road for a week - tatty beyond belief. I returned it for exchange and recieved a replacement with exactly the same damage (cover, spine & book edges).. I contacted Amazon again and there was no offer to replace it: just return for a refund. ?!I was annoyed with how I was treated to be honest, and elected to keep the damaged book so that I could support the author.I'm sure Kai would, if he knew he was losing book sales in this manner, choose to hurl some expletives out there regarding this, a small part of me hopes he does!!

Excellent book
There are few decent books about analogue photography but this is definitely one to get hold of. Mine was bought from Amazon and had none of the production issues referred to. I can't complain about the content or the style of the book and as a reference source I have found it extremely helpful. With regards photography it's about taking ideas from a multitude of sources. I don't necessarily agree with a lot of the writer's ideas but what he writes provokes you to develop your own thoughts. For the price, extremely good value.

Recommended despite quality of materials and condition.
Great book with both practical and interesting information. Some excellent pictures , including pics of film cameras themselves .The book did arrive in a somewhat ‘ex-demo’ condition with wear to the edges , several creased pages and a chunk torn from the back cover surface . Additionally, it appears to have been printed on pretty low quality paper and the binding is iffy. However , as the content is good , I feel it offsets these tangible but objectively insignificant issues.

One of the best books about photography I ever had.
This is a great inspirational book that leads to the message "Love what you shoot, shoot what you love".It does not go deep into details about composition theory. Or it has nothing about, it has no details about manual film development ond manual printing. This book just inspires.

Fire up your enthusiasm for film photography
I really enjoyed this book - it fired up my enthusiasm to get my 35mm camera out and go shoot. That is the point, I think, of this particular book, which doesn't really teach or preach but rather encourages exploration. This book won't teach you (much) about shutter speeds and f-stops, but it will get you excited (perhaps, again) about possibilities to capture something really great with your camera.Kai, the author, comes across as knowledgable, friendly, and welcoming. A great way to start...

Old fashion snapping
Great little book from celluloid enthusiast and snapper extraordinaire Kai. Engaging as always, he offers techniques, tips and tricks to encourage fans and readers to consider going retro. The book also give historic perspective and information on the various models to consider when journeying to the 'other' side!

Full of useful tips in photography
This book is interesting and helpful to those who are interested in both 35mm and Digital processes. It can be transfered to either. The book itself would have recieved 4-stars if it arrived undamaged. Yet again a good book ruined by the poor packaging and delivery process used by Amazon. I returned the Book.

Book damaged
I paid the price for a brand new book not a second hand one. I'm very upset. This is intolerable
