Essential Psychopathology & Its Treatment

Brand new textbook that is exactly what the professor wanted.

This was one of the more well-written and interesting books I've had to read for school. It's an easy read and fascinating and kind of funny too.

It's a helpful and easy to read textbook for my class, but I wish it was a bit cheaper...

As a psychology student, I think this book is just as important at the DSM because it breaks down each disorder in layman's terms with great examples

Decent textbook used for a masters counseling program.

This is a terrific resource for those working in psychology, especially those of us that write assessments and care plans. I have repeatedly referred back to this since I received it. I would recommend this for both grad students and those already in practice.

While I quite enjoyed Psychopathology as a course, I needed sources more recent than 10 years ago for my Masters' paper on Dissociative Identity Disorder.All told, when I included the Preface, all 25 chapters, and counting the 2013 DSM-5 as only one source (Kilgus, et. al. used it as a source for every diagnosis in each chapter), there are only 31 new references out of 497 in Kilgus' 2016 printing.Kudos to Frank Biscardi, M.D. as he included 16 of the 31 new references (eight from 2014) when he revised Chapter 21 Sleep Disorders!
