Q: Would this attach to a hospital bedside table?

Yes, the Velcro allows the bottle holder to fit very snug.

Q: how wide are the Velcro straps?

The Velcro Straps are 1 1/2 “ wide and there are two straps.

Q: Would this work inside a bike basket?

It's not designed for that, the Velcro straps are oriented to attach to the handle bar and stem. That said, I attached mine to the outside of a front basket. Using the wraps you attach and it works great for me.

Q: Does a water bottle remove easily from this holder or do you need both hands to get bottle out?

Depends on the size of the bottle, I have a 28 oz Yeti Rambler that fits VERY tightly, but if you have a regular 20 or 24oz water bottle it will come out easily one handed

Fits big water bottle perfect for wheelchair

So much better than regular cup holders that I bought for my water bottle or coffee tumbler I am always worried about it falling out. But not this one it fits in nice and no chance of falling out or tipping. It’s super deep and I bought more as the first one I bought was so good I decided I need a second one so I can carry coffee and water as same time. Highly recommend purchasing one if your in wheelchair.
