Does dustpan lock in place upright when stored and lock when sweeping?

Yes when stored it stays upright and locked in place.

For my medical reasons, they both are too flimsy as I require stability and sturdiness of brooms, mops etc. this particular Boom and dustpan doesn’t provide stability to help me accomplish my household chores.
