Worked good for me. Quick ship
Here are some dimensions as the company apparently doesn’t read the add on Amazon. They worked good for my application for an old office chair. See picture. They taper from 0.88 at top to 0.92 near flange which is 0.98. Overall length is 1.72. ID is advertised. You have to hammer them into place but that is a good thing. We will see how sturdy they are but so far good.

very satisfied
These caster wheel sleeves worked great to help me restore my Dad's first wooden office chair.

Prefer metal
Not crazy about this one, I have had to use epoxy to hold it in place. I had to drill a larger hole in my wood leg to fit this and causing the wood to be a little weaker. Ended up putting an aluminum sleeve around the leg to strengthen it.

Great for repurposing chair wheels
Looked to repurpose old wheels taken from office chairs for the plant stand I made these caster sockets where perfect. Drilled a 3/4 hole used rubber hammer to set and had no problem installing 8 wheels.

Failed after a week.
Inserts came with a slightly larger OD than advertised. Not a huge deal if you have Mjölnir in your toolbox. I'm not fortunate enough to have that kind of equipment, so I had to settle for an 8lb sledge hammer. After a few "gentle" taps and enough harsh words to give my review video an "R" rating, I got them installed. Once I had inserted my casters, I determined they were sized similar to my sister after she came back from spring break on her freshman year (very relaxed fit and plenty of room for storing other things at the same time). After a week of light use, 3 were immediately clapped out to the point where the caster just fell out when I lifted up on the chair to level it out. I dashed to my bathroom scale to see if I was fatter than I usually am. After confirming that I was still only slightly obese, I determined the manufacturer to be at fault for the failure. Now I just have to figure out how to get these heaps of bulldookie out of my favorite chair so I can send them back to hell where they came from.

Fixed the problem
These inserts were the fix I needed in order to replace the casters on my chairs. I didn't know what the answer was to replacing them until I discovered the need for the inserts. All fixed!

Use a 7/8" drill and a hammer
I gave it a 4 star only because there is no recommended hole size for this insert from the manufacturer. I had to do a trial and error method that led me to use a 7/8" drill bit/hole. Otherwise it was easy to install and the wheels i bought fitted very well into this insert.

Fits Standard Casters Very Well
I used these to mount casters on a mobile platform. Before the inserts were installed, the casters were a bit loose in them. I drilled holes in the wood frame with a 7/16" Forstner bit and pressed the inserts into the holes. This compressed the inserts slightly and made the casters fit perfectly. A very well-engineered product.
