Riverbrook Home Emilie Comforter Set, Queen, Blue/Gray/Ivory, 8 Piece Set

The first time I bought this set was at Target, several years ago. I don't know how it happened, but I started sleeping on the little white pillow that comes with the set. That turned into me not being able to sleep without this pillow. (Even taking it out of town with me, and telling my husband I want to be buried with it.) After a few years, it was flat and super disgusting. I tried buying other similar pillows, but nothing could compare to this darn white pillow. A friend of a friend happened to have this set, and gave it to me. Yay! But after another few years, that one was disgusting too. So here I was, searching the internet, trying to *just* buy the pillow. That didn't happen, so I ended up having to buy the whole set again. This time on Amazon.Being on my 3rd set, I think it's safe to say that i have a LOT of experience with this product. Likely more than most other people lol.On to the product review..The set itself is beautiful. It doesn't look or feel cheap at all. Some comforters have like a shine to them, that really makes them look cheap imo, but this set doesn't have that. Like i said before, i originally bought this set at Target, and they, for the most part, sell quality products.It washes well. I've always thrown the comforter right in the washing machine, and then hang it to dry. You could probably put it in the dryer, but I never wanted to risk the stuffing bunching up too crazy. The way i washed & dried them, never caused the stuffing to bunch.It comes with 4 pillow cases, but 2 of them are a weird square shape. I don't think I've ever even seen a pillow that would fit the size/shape of these cases. So unless you already have, or, are planning on getting that size pillows, plan on only being able to use the 2 white pillow cases.I have a queen sized bed, and the queen set fits well. It hangs off of each side of the bed by about a foot or so.I don't really sleep under the comforter. I sleep on top of it and use soft snuggly blankets when i go to bed. But i have slept under it, and it is pretty warm. It almost reminds me of the down-alternative comforters that I've used before, just a little bit thinner.All in all, if you like the look of this set in the pictures, I think you'll be happy if you purchase it. At the time of writing this review, Amazon is the cheapest place to buy this set. Macy's & Target both sell it, but for considerably more.If anybody out there knows of a way for me to just buy the white 18X18" pillow that comes with this set, please let me know. So that's the green/teal pillow you see in my pictures.I couldn't get any pictures without any cats on the bed. They were very excited, and very curious as to what in the world i just did to our bed.

I love the look and feel of it. Only downside was there was a lot more white than I expected. I have a black cat and he loves that white section!! Fits my bed perfectly!

Loved the print and real engraving but…. Was so wrinkly and about an 8inch dark thread was under the cream part of the comforter that was so annoying. For the price it was good but the thread bothered me so returned it. If I knew it wouldn’t happen again I would reorder it.

Just what the title says. I love this comforter.

The compact packaging has caused wrinkles that won't come out. I know the instructions said I could iron it but I am afraid of burning it so I will live with the wrinkles. The pillows won't refresh to their original shape.

While it is beautiful, it is definitely not a blue and grey. it is absolutely green and brown. it is pretty but not the colors I expected in al the reviews. I must have gotten a different dye lot than the pictures.

Just what my bedroom needed

Excellent value for the $$. Love the design, looks great when wrinkles are ironed out. The color palette is mint green/dark gray/ivory, not blue. Description states 2 standard shams are 20x26; however, they fit euro king pillows. Had to buy 2 additional pillows to fit. That is why I rated 4 stars instead of 5.

It was supposed to be blue and it was green, so was useless to me, and there was a "pull" in the fabric right in the middle.
