This is a very well made item; however, the screws provided were very long and required the installation of extra washers as spacers to complete the install.

The airlines damaged my bag handle and I tried filing a claim with them which they initially rejected. I was ticked off, but then I did a quick Amazon search and found this replacement handle. It was easy to assemble and stronger than the original material used by American Tourister. Very Happy with the replacement!!!

The old handle was broke off before I got the box. I hoped the screw holes would align and they did. Looks great. The old, wooden box sold fast once it had a nice handle on it.

I wanted to use this flexible leatherette handle as a supplemental handle for a small case that holds drill bits. The metal portion of the handle that attaches to the box/luggage is just made out of cheap pot-metal though, as are the screws that they provide. When snugging up the screws, two of them snapped off, and that meant I needed to use vice grips to extract the stub of the screws that were left. Fortunately, the screws snapped off with enough sticking out that I could grab them and rotate them back out again. Then I had to find better quality screws that fit the threads and use them. The only other issue that I have is that the metal attachment ends are also made of cheap pot metal, and although they are supporting the weight of my case for now, I worry that they may eventually crack and drop my case -- but so far it is working.

I ordered these replacements, and although they’re slightly longer than on my suitcase (my error), I was able to use 2/4 holes to secure the handle. It’s a short -term fix until I get the correct size, but it’s holding up (had several trips in a row).

The handle on my Samsonite luggage came off and because I did not file for warranty, I had to find a replacement. Just measure the distance between screws on your luggage to get an accurate fit. Very sturdy.

The measurements were instrumental in my purchase. The case already had holes etc from previous cheap strap version.
