My aunt used to have these in her purse for keeping us quiet when we were young kids. Religious services were one of those a Regal Crown sour lemon candies kept us all quiet.

These are so good and convenient in individual rolls

This grape candy was my favorite growing up in the sixties and seventies. Although this remake is very close to how I remember it , it’s just not quite the same. Great taste! Buttttt original candy was darker in color-a bit stronger in taste and tartness-and the original formula had an almost waxy soft outer layer but the new candy is hard smooth and about the color of red grapes. I still love this candy and bought a carton of 25 rolls

Update: I have contacted the seller company by online form, commented on their Facebook page, and sent a complaint against them on here, and yet I have not heard the first response from them. I’m thinking that the FDA may need to be my next contact because there is obviously something wrong with the lemon flavored candy and how it is now being made. It is obvious that others are noticing the same things that I have, yet Amazon is still selling this defectively made candy. I have been ordering these for some time now, and overall, I love the flavor and taste of these hard candies. Every now and then I’ll pop one in my mouth that has an odd taste, but that hasn’t deterred me from purchasing them. My most recent order definitely has something wrong with it. I popped one in my mouth and after about 10 seconds, I spit it out; there was a really nasty taste to it, and I noticed that it had a brownish orange tint to part of it. I opened another piece and it looked normal, but it sure didn’t taste right! I went through the rest of the roll, and they all either had the odd coloring mixed in or if they looked the normal color, they still had that taste. I opened a second roll out of the box hoping it was just that one roll, but I could see the off coloring through the wrapper before I even got it off of the piece of candy. I didn’t see a way to contact the seller, and they aren’t returnable. There is obviously something wrong with them as you can see in the pictures and not knowing what has been put inside of the candy that has discolored it and made them taste so bad makes me question how well production is monitored. I’m hoping my review will be seen and someone from the company will contact me.

This is the perfect sour candy for me. I take medication that makes my mouth severely dry and the candy causes constant salivation. I bought the candy hoping that it would serve this specific purpose, and it did not disappoint. Also, grape is one of my favorite flavors, so it tastes good. I also love that they’re individually wrapped. This makes it easier to share.
