These headlamps are a very good buy. The initial highest brightness is a good 800-900 true lumins on high, this is compared to lights that cost multiple times as much. Medium or the low setting is fine for up close work for me.. They do have the technology that dims the light when on high a little bit after approx 5min and holds that continuesly from that point. Which inables the light to run for much longer than the specs say. I haven't actually completely drained the battery and I'm testing it right now. I have turned it on high and let it run for a half hour to 2 hours at a time and it's still just as bright at 5 total hours now and still going as strong as when it had a full charge. And even after 2 hours of being on high they never even got warm to the touch unlike most others that will burn you after that long. Also I like the pattern of projection. Not to tight and not a flood light either. But they will throw a broad bright beam at least 100ft on high.They have a lot of things I like, brightness, RECHARGEABLE battery run time, usb charging, the battery has overcharge, discharge and polarity protection, the ability to take the light off the band and use it as a flashlight or use the magnetic end making it a portable cordless work light. The ability to use other 18650 batteries if these go bad. The light body is made of extremely durable aluminum. They are waterproof, drop proof and crush proof. Adjustable output and angleThere is a couple things I don't like is that it has a strobe and s.o.s setting. Also you have to cycle through them all to shut the light off instead of being able to hold the switch down for a couple seconds to shut it off.Update: I want to let you know that the vendor is very responsive to emails and stands behind their product. Also I have been using these headlamps for almost 3 months now at work "construction" and the battery life has improved without any decrease in output. I use them between 5 to 8 hours a week at 5 to 60 minute intervals on a single charge.

Morpilot headlamps are slightly-heavy compared to competitor products, but built with solid and sturdy material. They have a great metal feel. We brought them to our 4-night camping trip at Death Valley. With labels as 1200 lumens, these headlamps are super bright, and we set them at 2nd brightest mode. Other people envied us and were surprised by how bright light our headlamp produces. Those competitor products often accidently been turned on in my backpack. However, morpilot headlamps are well-designed to avoid that. The battery life (for 2nd brightest mode) is long enough for a week-long (or even longer) trip. The indicator (green/red/flashing red) is super easy to check the battery life. Even after flashing red indicator, you can still have light for half to one hour. Rechargeable battery with a USB cable is convenient. For the price it is a very good hiking light but not a tactical light. I bought it for hiking and it works for that but it is no where close to the light they claim. I have a lot of high end hand held lights that put out much more consistent light output but much shorter duration and shuts off with little to no notice. Why is it not a tactical light - Compared to my 1200 light this head lamp puts out less (about 1000 and only for about 5-10 minutes with a fully charge battery). The light set on high puts out about 400 consistently after the first 5 to 10 minutes and drops down to about 200 after 2.5 hours. Where this light becomes useful is on low. On low It puts out light comparable to my 150 light. At 8 hours, the light level is comparable to my 100 lm light and the button (power indicator) changes from green to red. At 13 hours the light level is about 40 lm (still usable for setting up a tent, 20 to 30 feet viz in the dark) and the power indicator goes from red to blinking red. At 15 hours the light level is only good for reading (close up). I did a second test and it was repeatable but at 12 hours I changed the setting from low to high and was able to get the light level back up to 150 lm which slowly dimmed to about 40 lm after an hour. I like that the light does not suddenly shut off and has a power indicator. I plan to get a longer lasting battery to use. Note, this headlamp requires the longer 18650 battery with protection (67mm protected vs 65mm unprotected) without modifying the light. You could probably modify the light to make it work with an unprotected battery but I decided to order a protected 18mmx67mm one. Hopefully I can extend the times with a 4000 mAh battery. Bottom line the light does have levels close to what they claim with a fully change battery but does not maintain those levels and it does last as long as they say but again, not consistently at levels they state. For the price ($17 per light) it is well worth it for hiking/emergency. -1 star for misleading light levels. FYI weight is just under 5oz if you only use the head band without the top strap.

E' vero che con la luce al massimo la batteria in dotazione dura poco, è la logica conseguenza tra capacità e consumo. Però basta mettere uno scatto inferiore, sempre molto valido e la durata della luce è piu che sufficente. Un'altra cosa bella è la possibilità di sostituire rapidamente la batteria, che ti permette 1- di metterne una di capacità superiore 2- di portare delle batterie di ricambio da sostituire quando quella dentro si scarica. Perfezionato il sistema di ricarica, con il comodo pulsante che quando la lampada si scarica diventa rosso, per diventare verde quando la carica è completata

Tolle Lampe für den Preis sehr hell und gute Haptik. Vertikal weit verstellbar Gewicht für die Grösse und den Akku normal. Der Akku scheint auch von ordentlicher Qualität zusein. Nach gut einer Std. Gebrauch in verschiedenen stufen noch ca. 65% laut ext. Ladegerät. 2 Lampen für 30€ sind Top.

Enfin une frontale qui tient la route en terme de qualité de fabrication et de valeur d'usage. : Robustesse, étanchéité, longévité et puissance de l'éclairage, tout est satisfaisant. Allumage aussi accessible en aveugle qu'agréable à actionner. Même le bandeau modulable est impeccable. L'accu 18650 interchangeable et directement rechargeable de 2600 mAh garantit un usage quasi-illimité. Le seul bémol concerne le poids conséquent de plus de 100g pour la lampe seule qui risque devenir pesant à la longue en courant. Mais pour de la marche et par dessus une casquette, c'est LA FRONTALE tant recherchée et enfin trouvée. Reste à juger la fiabilité sur la durée, mais aucune inquiétude à ce stade.Mise à jour et doute concernant la qualité des batteries 18650 incluses. Elles semblent ne pas tenir la charge car le témoin de la lampe passe directement au rouge 24h00 après recharge complète et sans utilisation entre temps.
