The MOTOPOWER MP0515A 12V battery tester is an excellent tool for checking battery health. Setup is easy. Simply connect the clamps to the appropriate terminal on the battery and it powers on immediately. The color screen is bright and easy to read and clear menus that make operation intuitive even for a first-time user. I tested it on several batteries ranging from small mower batteries to larger automotive ones (100–2000 CCA range), and the readings were consistent. It quickly shows voltage, CCA, and battery condition. This is a solid tester that is beginner/user friendly. Pleased with the purchase and giving it 5 stars.

I have tested many car and truck batteries in the past with a standard multi meter and believed that if I got a 12 volt readout from the test my battery was still good but the voltage reading is just a portion of the information you really need. This tester goes way beyond a basic multi meter by allowing you to check CCA cold cranking amps and remaining battery life. The tester is easy to operate and comes with a good user manual that includes 4 different types of battery tests including the standard start, charging, and wave view tests. Setup was easy and it also has a handy print function. The unit itself has a quality feel to the case, nice display screen and soft touch buttons. The cables are pliable and the terminal clamps are firm but open smoothly. For the price I paid for this tester I couldn’t be happier.

I was very pleased to find that Moto Powers battery tester had a real users manual. The manual was straightforward, in English, printed in color and allowed me to work at the vehicle. I bought another battery tester and that one had the users manual on one sheet of paper with micro writing. Even with a good pair of magnifying glasses it was hard to read. The Moto power tester worked great and was easy to use because I had the manual At work location. I'm glad they didn't try to save $0.15 by Not providing a manual making me look it up on the Internet and printed out like other guys have been doing lately.
