Yes! Gets the job done
Love the scissors. YES I cut my own hair at home. I also have unbareably thick hair that I NEED to get thinned every few months. Whoever I go to to get my hair cut never does the job right, so I do it myself! These scissors are nice and professional, but they are sharp (which is good for hair, bad for fingers!) and hurt my thumbs after about an hour or so (I put bandaids to prevent blistering). The thinning shears are amazing, but please look up how to thin your hair first... Only the tip of your hair! If you like to cut your hair at home, despite some dirty looks from hair professionals, these scissors are for you!

Made my mother think she really can be a hairdresser!!
My mom has dreams of becoming a hairdresser but she is a Nurse.This however gives you lots of access to people who may not be able to visit a professional. I gave these as a gift to save the people of my local hospital from having their hair cut with kitchen scissors.Rave reviews all around! She called me and was worried I had spent $$$$$$ on her gift. Not to worry they were under $15!!

Disappointed
These shears look great. However, they bend the hair and click. They are only sharp at the tips. I cut hair professionally and they just will not work. The steel is too hard and dull to cut medium to coarse hair. Also it's missing the cloth included in the set. I would not even use them at home on my family. Very disappointed and I will be returning.

Both scissors have holes on their bodies and the surface finish could not be worse. They deserve not star at all
If I didn't get it wrong, I was buying a NEW product. But the two pair of scissors I received are either used, or products with extreme low quality. One of the screws was totally damaged and could not be twisted at all. Both scissors have holes on their bodies and the surface finish could not be worse. They deserve not star at all.

Surprisingly the work well.. for ten bucks that ...
Surprisingly the work well..for ten bucks that is, I had the points sharpened and use the daily at barbershop...they stand up well...you will need to adjust the tension screw to find your own personalized fluidity in movement....but overall, I was pleasantly surprised
