People Speak 6 (People talk about themselves) (Volume 6) Paperback – December 8, 2014

"People Speak" is an amazing book series by Chaim Walder! It is filled with stories people share about themselves! All of the stories in "People Speak 6" seemed to be shared through a Jewish perspective, sometimes they are about something funny or serious, and sometimes they are shared to help other people. Some stories will probably make people laugh and others might make them cry. There are a different variety of situations shared. Hebrew words are sometimes inserted into the text and there is a glossary in the back of the book defining those words in English.I liked the variety of topics in this book...from a story of a bar mitzvah, to marriage, and even deaths. The story I connected with the most is titled "The Will". It's about a man who did something horrible to his wife's family and it came back to him later...in a way he didn't expect. I wish there could've been more love towards people who weren't like some of the people in the stories but maybe that will happen in some of the people's lives later. After I finished each story I often anticipated what the next story was going to be about.I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this and other books in the People Speak series. This is the third book of the People Speak series that I have read, I seem to be going backwards in the series! Much like People Speak 3&4, this book is full life stories from people who took time to share their tale with Rabbi Chaim Walder. Rabbi Walder once again has done a fantastic job selecting and retelling the stories in such a way that I felt as tho I was there living them right next to the protagonist.People Speak 6 features stories focusing on the Jewish perspective and is sprinkled with a lot of Yiddish. Don't worry, there is a glossary in the back for those who are unfamiliar with the vocabulary.Much like the other books in this series, I quickly became emotionally vested in the life of each story teller, I was on a roller-coaster of emotions with every plot twist, triumph or tragedy described. I had a hard time putting the book down. I always have believed that everything happens for a reason, and I try to take everything I learn as a life's lesson. This Series has opened my eyes to many new lessons, and I feel that I am forever changed.I received this book complimentary for review purposes. Opinions are 100% my own.

This was another book that was a great read. I have read three books by Rabbi Chaim Walder already. I’m happy to read stories about people who live ordinary lives—like you and me—but their experiences detailed in their stories are extraordinary. The experiences and the life lessons that you learn from this book are great. It’s a book I would recommend to anyone who’s interesting in reading about life’s e that enjoys reading about adversities and triumphs. Some stories do make you reflect and in my case some situations have made me ponder what would I do in such a situation.The one thing that I’ve mention before is the fact that reading the e-book it’s hard to look up the words in the glossary, so that’s one thing I didn’t like. But if anyone decides to read the series you might have several of the words memorized. This book was given to me for free as part of a promotion, in return I’ve provided my honest review
