Yes, These have simple instructions. Basically for example Stencil # 1 - black, #2 - red and so on. I have one that was eight different stencils so a different colors or shading. The shading part you may need a little bit of practice with but other than that it is very simple I would do it on a another surface before I would put it on anything permanent just to practice with it
