Someone finally did it!
Thank you Interworks! I've been hoping someone would just make a wii classic controller with the wiimote built in so you can have a truly wireless controller for the Wii. No more dangling wiimote! If you know what you're getting this one delivers. As it's been mentioned numerous times, this is NOT a third party substitute for the WiiU Pro Controller (WUPC) which only works for the WiiU. It will however work for WiiU games that support the Wii Classic Controller. In that regard, I think this is the better option. Sure it will not work for *all* WiiU games but the fact that it works for both Wii and (for the most part) WiiU gives it the better value proposition and is cheaper than the WUPC. I love using this controller for those prolonged Monster Hunter 3U sessions and just use the WiiU Gamepad as a second screen on the coffee table (this setup prolongs the battery duration as well). The negative:I wish they would have placed the d-pad and buttons more to the edges instead of towards the middle. The issue is more pronounced with the d-pad as it seems like i'm "reaching" for it more to accurately execute motions for fighting games. It feels just fine for everything else though.

Meh...
I pre-ordered this crap. I just have an original Wii, and read a little about this, and decided to give it a shot. To be honest, to me it's not "that bad" I suppose. I found after originally buying the Wii, I got pretty irritated that most of the games required full body motion or whatever. It seemed like a cool idea at first, but once I got into it, I realized I missed simple controller gameplay. So I kind of like having this to use as my Wii wand to control the Wii. I haven't tested it on all the games as of yet, but I hear conflicting reviews on how it'll work with some games and not with others. But the big thing that ticked me off right now, enough to bother writing a review, is that I recall this stupid thing taking several hours to charge. I've used it very little since the full charge. And now, I decide I want to use the Wii, and I go to use the controller, and it's dead. I've BARELY used it since I charged it! WTF! I mean, if it's going to take forever to charge that's fine, as long as it retains the charge when I'm not using the effin thing. That really pissed me off...

Great Classic Controller, not a Wii U Pro controller. Sucks as wiimote for New Super Mario Bros.
Bought it to use as a wii classic controller and as a wiimote for New Super Mario Bros U. Be warned that this is not a wii U pro controller, I understood that when I bought it. It works fine as a classic controller that doesn't need to be attached to a wiimote. The wiimote function on it I wanted to use with New Super Mario Bros U and honestly it does work but you'll have a heck of a time trying not to press the A button by accident, sending you into a bubble when you're trying to use 1 and 2 for run and jump which are mapped to X and Y on this controller and cannot be mapped to A and B. I still give it a 4 star rating because I mainly wanted it as a Classic Controller that didn't require a wiimote hanging from it. Works just fine on Tekken Tag 2 and anything else that works with the classic controller like virtual console games.

Sadly very disappointing :(
I had high hopes despite all the bad reviews for this product. The main reason I got this controller is because it acts like a classic controller(NOT a wii u pro controller). I wanted to use this for brawl on my wii u since it doesn't have gamecube controller ports and I don't like the classic controller pro.Problems: - The left analog stick click is mapped the the "B" button no matter what. It can't be switched or turned off. While playing smash bros if I get too intense I accidentally click the stick and it does a side B or up B. Very annoying!- The Analog sticks are too sensitive...meaning it almost feels like digital data over an analog stick. Its difficult to walk at a medium pace in some games. Although this does make it easier to do neutral air attacks.- The triggers are not very comfortable. Just using the triggers as a shield bothered my fingers after a while. I remapped the shield button to the bumpers and it felt a lot better.I haven't really messed with the Dpad but I saw other reviews that described some problems. The ABXY buttons seemed ok to me.

nice replacement. (using it on a Wii)
I using as a replacement for my wavebird controller. The only part I don't like is that you have to be patient with connecting it to your Wii. Better D-pad than the Wiimote, while Pro is in Wiimote mode is a big plus as well, makes platformers better to play.

Good concept for all in one solution, but poor execution
Just got it today. Shipping was extremely fast! That's about it for the positives unfortunately...First off,I bought this for my wii. I had one before and it was great, but this one seems to be defective or something. First thing I did was charge it, then it wouldn't turn on for some reason. Then I figured out I had to reset it, so I did. Then it worked! Now the Bad; the buttons are unresponsive at times and tend to stick, and the shoulder buttons never worked. I can't get past that. A lot of my favorite games use the shoulder buttons such as Super Castlevania 4 etc. And if you like N64 games, it's pointless. Also, if you want to switch the (X,Y) buttons with the (B,A) etc for retro games, you can't do it, not even in emulators, they simply don't work. Better stick with the classic pro controller or something. Not sure what happened with this one. Good concept for all in one solution, but poor execution.

Best controller for Wii
This is a high quality controller especially for 3rd party standards and I love it. It has those clickable analog joysticks like on the 360 which are formatted perfectly for Call of Duty. I love it except that on an empty battery, it can take FOREVER to charge. Be sure to plug this in when it's about to die to avoid this. You may have to hit the reset button to get it to power on but still the best Wii controller to substitute other game pads. Buy it, you'll love it with your old Wii games that your play on Wii U or Wii.
