TropiClean Perfect Fur Detangling and Deshedding Dog Shampoo for Breeds with Thick Double Coats, Natural Moisturizing Shampoo, Puppy Safe, 16oz.

I recently used this shampoo on my double-coated pup (similar to, say, an Akita) and found it made a definite difference. The coat felt a lot softer after use, tangles came out easier while brushing, and I noticed less loose fur around the house in the following days. What I liked: The formula penetrates thick fur and does a deep clean, which is ideal for dense undercoats. Tropiclean +2 Tropiclean +2 It has detangling/conditioning action built-in, so my brushes glided more smoothly after bathing. The scent was pleasant (not overpowering) and the coat looked refreshed. What could be better: I did find I used more than usual because of how dense the fur was—so for a large or very thick-coated dog, this might be a slightly heavier investment. While it did reduce shedding and loose fur, it didn’t eliminate it entirely (which is fair, given the breed/type), so it’s best used as part of a grooming routine (brushing, tool usage etc.). Because the under-coat still sheds naturally in thicker-coat breeds, be patient and consistent. Overall: A very good option if your dog has a thick, double coat or gets a lot of tangles. It won’t magically stop all shedding (no product will), but it definitely helps with manageability and coat health. Highly recommended with a 4-star rating.

Came as shown without any damages on it because of how well the seller packaged it. This shampoo is incredibly effective on dogs with thick coats and leaves their fur looking well cleaned and shiny so to speak. It's somewhat pricey but for what it's worth, it leaves no foul smell, no skin irritation, and it makes it so your dog shed much less. I will continue using this on my dog for as long as I can afford it.

Purchased to use with bull dogs but worked really well with our shepherd as well! Great smell, not too strong but pleasant. Has helped with dry skin and itching as well as reduced shedding. It has a great lather and it easy to rinse.

This shampoo was great for my golden retriever. The smell was amazing, the quality of the shampoo was great. My dog looked beautiful once he was done being bathed.

I love TropiClean products, they work great and they don't break the bank. When I saw they came out with this shampoo, I had to try it! I bought the shampoo for combination coats. I have a Welsh Springer Spaniel, a breed that is sadly dissappear, even though its one of the oldest breeds. She has a beautiful glossy red and white coat with feathering on her tail, legs, chest and tummy. Anyone who's ever had a longhaired dog can tell you, rinsing out their coat after bathing can take ages... and usually should if you're bathing them properly. I was impressed how easily and quickly I was able to rinse this from her coat! That right there alone is reason to love this shampoo! That being said, a little went a LONG way! I was able to use half the amount I usually would, and had her more sudsy than I have ever seen! This shampoo used with a curry comb (rubber brush) or "HandOn Grooming Gloves" will have your dog covered in bubbles! The shampoo does have a nice gender-neutral fresh scent. I tend to hate floral, powdery or overly sweet scents. Both my husband and I loved this one. The only thing I will mention is, its not great at whitening, but I didn't expect it to be. I noticed a grayish spot on her white chest after rinsing her down, so I used TropiClean's Whitening Shampoo and it took care of it. I cant say it if this shampoo made her coat any softer, as this breed is naturally silky and so soft (that's the first comment I get when people pet her). I also used conditioner, as you should with a longhaired dog. For that, I used TropiClean's Conditioner. I will definitely be keeping this product on hand! I didn't receive any discount for my opinion. I am a product manager at a pet store. I have worked in pet retail and at a dog wash for over 10 years now. I also show my Welshie. I have tried more pet shampoos than your average person!

This shampoo works great for my cardigan corgi. However, the scent is terrible. Especially if you are sensitive to strong perfume. It smells like a cheap musk cologne and the scent stays on my dog for days. But it works great for his double waterproof coat and shedding, just wish it was unscented.

Smells so good and makes my huskies so soft.

I have an Australian shepherd with a very thick coat and this shampoo makes it very easy to bathe her and smells really good. I would definitely recommend it.

Just used it on my golden retriever and labrador and I have brushed out an entire box of hair between them. Be prepared to spend a lot of time dealing with the loose hair, but can't say this isn't incredibly effective.
