Q: Can you use these on Alumium trailers

I would assume you can, however, sometimes steel and aluminum corrode to each other. I don't know that you could recess them into the deck and you would need to be sure you reinforce them well from the bottom so you don't pull through the aluminum which won't be built to withstand the potential load . . .

Q: What are the dimensions of the backing plate?

The plate is 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". The large hole is 3 1/2" Diameter. The 4 small holes are 3/8' Diameter. The layout of the small holes is the same as the D-Ring square-hole layout.

Q: I want to use on a wood floor of a utility trailer. Ok for that?

I would think so. I put mine on the floor of my toyhaulers garage. It was plywood. use the proper backing plates and bolts.

Zinc will hold up just fine in bad weather environment.
