Works Great!
I bought this after I had bought the plastic one and the frame cracked around the blade. I thought that a metal one would be better and it was. I have used this on zucchini. The only complaint is that you have to cut down your veggies to fit in the spiral slicer. Other wise it is great!

some technical flaws and one larger philosophical flaw
Doesn't grip onto the counter. Fair amount of waste. the blade that cuts up the spirals is uneven and bent. There are only so many kinds of hard starchy veggies in the world that you can put through it, and only so many things you can do with them. I find myself just looking at it going... you cut potatoes too small for curly fries... and my kid will rebel if I serve lightly steamed zucchini curls again. What will I do with you?On the other hand? it's totally awesome in that I now can do random starchy veggies into curls.

Vege keeps sliding off- does not work
Zuchini has to b cut 1/2 in order to fit rite, then it falls off as you turn the handle. Disappointed it doesnt work well. Vege gets stuck in the blades, then it shredds the vege. I need to return this. For the price I paid, I would expect more, and it doesnt even come with instructions. Comes with photos that are useless, because it doesnt explain anything. The box doesnt explain anything either. Dont waste your $$.

Durable, stainless and easy to use instrument when operated properly - Instructions would be nice.
I had some difficult time on my first try and I would have liked more detailed instructions. However, after taking a closer look at the way the slicer works, I understood how to put it together the right way (meaning placing that piece of metal with the spiral on the screwing bar after greasing the spinning part) and I got great results from then on, with zucchini, yellow squash and carrot. :)1 - I like the simplicity of that slicer and how easy it is to use. My 9 year-old daughter was able to slice carrot spirals.2 - I took of the teeth blade and it took me some time to figure out how to put it back on (again, instructions would have been nice) but with a little patience, the blade went back into its initial spot without forcing, just a little "click".3 - I like the suction cup that maintains the slicer to the table when slicing the veggies.4 - It might be less fancy looking that the plastic versions but I find stainless steel more hygienic and stainless (especially when using carrots) The slicer is very easy to clean, just rinsing under water. My only complaint is that the photo instructions didn't have captions to explain in a more detailed manner what to do to put the pieces together and apart (that is why I only gave 4 stars) but again, with a little patience and testing it is quite easy to understand because it is a very simple instrument -- just what I was looking for! :))

Great product
I don't like doing reviews, but my spiral slicer arrived today and I tried it right away. I had a hand held one that was "adequate" but this one is "great". I used it on zucchini and was done in a few minutes. They turned out firm and as near to pasta as I could hope for. Also, it is on the small side of spiralizers and won't take up a lot of storage space. This product is better than I hoped for. Ray's spouse.

I'm a little disappointed by the performance of this spiralizer
I'm a little disappointed by the performance of this spiralizer. I can't really figure out how to suction it to the table. It's not really conducive to left-handed people and the mechanism to back it up is awkward since I can't suction it to the table. I chose this one because it looked like it performed well and it was stainless steel instead of a bunch of plastic. I think most of it is stainless steel, but I think the spiral rod that moves is some other metal, maybe a mix of stainless steel and aluminum. It rusts a little when I wash it. Many vegetables, especially the softer ones like zucchini get stuck with the noodle blade (it's better with the ribbon--no blade). I have to clean it out partway through making the noodles so the rest will turn out. I don't know if I'm just doing it wrong or if I can only use it with firmer vegetables for better noodles. The softer vegetables also tend not to stick to the three tines and fall down. I mean, gravity isn't helping, but the veggies falling before I can line it up next to the blade is a problem. I'll continue to work on it; maybe I'll get better at it. You have to make sure that the veggies are flat on both ends and aren't longer than torque allows. The more perfectly round the vegetable, the better the noodles turn out because there's less torque and awkwardness. Another small thing is that the black part of the handle unscrews from the turning mechanism and comes off while I'm trying to spiralize. I have to put the handle back on in the middle of making noodles before I can continue.

A bit tricky to use...
I bought this version because it gives you three options for your veggies. Unfortunately upon my first use, I realized that it would be a challenge. The prongs are thick and my zucchini wouldn't stay on them. You also have to apply firm and consistent pressure to the blade with you veggies and that can be a challenge when they don't want to stay on the prong.I think once I figure it out it'll be great but it was a bit tricky the first time.

Much better than the plastic one.
Compared to the cheap plastic ones this is a dream. I admit it can only spiral and slice, but come on, how many of us really need three blades. Second time I used the plastic one the suction foot broke. Returned it to BBB and bought this one. Love it and it will never break. Didn't understand the poor reviews about not being able to figure it out. Please if you are not a cook then don't purchase cooking items. Just eat out.!!
